| I did not find my PDA. I am trying to figure (financially) out how to replace it. Saturday, we went to see the progress on the new house. The lumber drop is this Thursday. They put the steel beams in to hold up the first floor. We had open houses Saturday and Sunday. One family stopped by on Saturday. Yesterday, we went out to the Chicago Botanic Garden and a couple of outlet malls. We are puppy-sitting again. The puppy tends to think that outside is for playing and listening to all the sounds and the cage is for "going" in. I had her outside for almost an hour this morning. The moment she gets back into the cage, she went. Tomorrow, my DD and family will pick her up. (they went to the Wisconsin Dells) I have a job interview at Oswego East HS on Thursday. I guess I will go to that and then head out to see what they did with the house that day. My supervising teacher's grandma died on Saturday. The teacher was at our high school's graduation at the time. I started reading Suzanne Somer's "Slim and Sexy" book. I feel like it is "speaking" to me as it addresses menopausal issues.

| All these gorgeous pictures of kitties and I don't know how to post. I know my Tia would love to have everyone see him. He loves to sleep on his back with his feet above his head. Can anyone tell me how to do it? He goes to the vet this morning and I know he will be put asleep for the procedure. So, no food at all and did he ever tell me off!! He has some type of absess on his poor furry ear and they will have to lance it, so no breaky for the big guy. I'll keep you posted on his progress. We had the mother of all storms hit us last night. Over 3,000 lightning strikes. I sat in the rain watching the dumb guys play ball. Just about froze cause it was 94 when we left town and it dropped to 68 in half an hour. It absolutely poured. Some parts of town got hail and their gardens were ruined. Luckily, mine is okay, just got a good drink of water. The storm caused a couple of accidents...one fatal. We lost our power for just about 4 hours. Poor puppies were at home alone when it hit and they were pretty vocal about telling us about it when we got home. So, it's kind of cool and cloudy today but that's okay. We need a day like this so I can get caught up with my housework. I won't be moving hoses all night trying to get everything wet. Ilse: Are you going through the hot flushes like I am? It's terrible when the temperature is so hot. Does Suzanne Somers say anything about that? Maybe I should get the book too. Teel: Good to see you back. Glad your trip was good. Isn't it funny how just one thing can trigger memories of bad eating like your episode with the icing? Brought to mind one of my own. My mom passed away when I was 16 and I took on the responsibilities of the house like the grocery shopping. I had gone to the store to buy things to put in my dad and brother's lunches and ended up eating a dozen warm, fresh, large, donuts before I even got the groceries home! Can you count the carbs in that? lol

| Donna, what I did was "Go Advanced" with my reply. Scroll down and you will see "Additional Options." Below "miscellaneous" is "Attach Files." I clicked on the "Manage Attachments" button and was able to browse my computer files to find the picture. Of course, the pictures have to be on your computer! Maybe there's an easier way?????

| Ah, Shelley, your Fus-sie doozie was a total darling, and I am so sorry for your loss. I lost the feline love of my life to feline diabetes complicated by renal function loss in 2002. I intensively studied every aspect of treating the disease, but I still couldn't save him (although we did become "semi-famous" for a while in the feline diabetes online support world - Punkin and I made an online video showing how to use a glucometer to do a blood glucose monitoring test on a cat). Alida, your Scottish Fold is ADORABLE! I've always loved the big round eyes and little ears characteristic of Scottish Folds. Donna, how did your doctor treat your plantar fasciatis? I've had it off and on for over 10 years. Alas, it's been hurting again for the last 8 months. I've tried physical therapy, different shoes, different inserts, iontopheresis, and laser light therapy. The laser helped the most, but the pain still kicks in if I step wrong. I hope Tia's ear procedure goes well. Going to the vet is no fun, but the little guy will be so glad when he's back home again. As for posting photos, you need a digital picture file. Most photocopy places can scan a photo print to make a digital picture that can be uploaded to the web. I think your digital picture first needs to be uploaded to a web server (such as the LCE photo gallery). Then, you can post a picture by clicking the "Go Advanced" button below the text input window. That opens an input page with a toolbar. Click the picture icon (yellow and gray -looks like a small postcard with mountains and a stamp), which opens a dialog box prompting you to give the location of the webserver (URL) for the picture. Then, type in the url where the picture is located. That's one way to do it. Picture Test: ![]() Peg, I NEED to see a picture of that Ragdoll of yours!!! I hope the veneer procedure goes smoothly. That's an awfully long time to be stuck in a dentist's chair - my thoughts are with you. Ilse - that's the pits about not finding the PDA - I was really thinking it was just hiding behind or under something. Law1 - good luck with starting a new induction tomorrow. I went through a two-week induction earlier this year and it really turned things around for me. I'd tried a couple of 3-day inductions, but that didn't really kick the switch for me. Brenda, that's a shame about the shelf collapse and breakage - I bet the noise scared you to death! It seems so odd that it would have happened in the still of the night. I hope you can find replacements for your Polish glassware - that's beautiful stuff. Judy, your summer school schedule sounds pretty gruelling. I'm glad it's only for 2 weeks - anymore and we'd need to send in a posse to get you outta there!

| Okay, here is Deuteronomy. Today was relatively easy. The carpenter showed up and got the crown molding started. It looks spectacular. Called tonight to tell me of what he did today and that he will be back tomorrow to finish. Yay! Staff at work. It was a riot. Everyone was in a good mood after the weekend, and we laughed our fool heads off. What a great team they are! TB: So glad you are back. LAW1: Good luck today for the first day on induction. You can do it, girl. Peace, Peg

| Oh...WOW!!!!! This has turned into a *catty* thread...LOL. Everyone's felines are beautiful! I did some reading on the Scotish Fold breed; they are well known for a sweet disposition, right Alida? They just look like they could *talk* your ear off How old are your darlings?Peg, Deuteronomy is a handsome fellow. He looks like he is one laid back wussy cat Teel, I know how you feel about your Punkin; I'm sorry for your loss also. There is just something about losing a pet that you've had for years. They ARE family, no matter what non-pet owners say! We had a great vet and he really worked with me on managing Fu's diabetes; but the renal failure just took the life right out of her. She went from weighing around 17-18 lbs, down to 7 lbs. I won't dwell on the sad day we lost her, but I'm sure you know how it feels, as does anyone who loses their fur kiddo. I still miss her bunches, and every now and then I *bump* into her spirit and I know she is still very much in my heart Now, on the plantar faciitis...I've got it also! I'm still wearing a pair of orthoditics, and had it down to a *manageable pain*, but as I am increasing my fitness walking, it's coming to life again....blah! Now that we have changed health insurance, I am going to try and get the orthotripsy procedure certified and scheduled. It's much like the lithotripsy treatment of renal stones. High frequency radio waves are used to break up the scaring and *rough* up the heel bone, and that in turn increases blood flow to the injured area and is supposed to heal the heel and decrease the inflamation that is ever present on a stubborn case of PF. Recovery time is approximately 3-5 days vs 6 weeks and a cast if you have the conventional open procedure for PF. Yes, Judy...hang in there! I would soooooo be on countdown! I would probably be looking more forward to getting out than the students, if that is possible! At any rate, I hope the 2 weeks goes by fast and smoothly for you. Well, I need to get in gear and get things ready for work tomorrow. We have a big surgery schedule and scopes tomorrow afternoon, so it will be a loooong day! Hope everyone has a great week! Shelley
