Hi everyone!

I actually did some of my errands yessterday. After work, I stopped at Wal-Mart. I used their electric cart to get around. I also stopped at Hobby Lobby. At Christmas stuff at 1/2 price. I got a tree-topper and a couple of other things. At Target, all I did was return something. At least that is done. I still need to go to more stores!

Snow flurries this morning, so I swam early and headed to work earlier.

I hope you have a great day!

You're right, Ilse! Completely forgot it's a new month until I started to put in my contact lens and realized it was time for a new one.

Those electric carts are so helpful in Big Box stores. Hope you find everything you're looking for.

Holy smoke....it snuck up on me. December is here. Now, I can start to panic. I've hardly got anything started for Christmas and it's only 24 days away. I just might have to give up some of my tv shows at night to get some things done. lol

It's snowing again today, and supposed to snow again tonight. It's really early for this much snow in our area. I was hoping for a milder winter this year, but the cold has hit already too so I don't think it's going to happen.

I guess the contractor couldn't fit us in yesterday cause when I got home there didn't look anything had been done. I'm hoping today he can do the final coat of mudding and then sand asap. I'd love to paint this weekend. Tomorrow night is my grandaughter's first christmas concert so nothing else will be done that night. Can't wait...camera and extra film are ready. I'll also be able to go over to their house and get a peak at Mister and see for myself how he's doing.

My dd is just driving me nuts. At 28, she just can't get the idea that you should save a little money. She advances most of her paycheque and then doesn't have anything left for necessities. Now she has no money for christmas presents and is behind on her rent. I'm tired of baleing her out of her money troubles. I think this time she's on her own. Maybe she needs to be embarrassed at christmas and not have anything for anyone. Might teach her a lesson. Don't I sound tough...I'll probable cave.

Gotta go...I have to do a little online shopping before the boss shows up. I'll try to pop back in later.

Alida, you are not alone... regarding financial matters, my family is ~famous~ for terrible timing, too. That goes back a couple of generations; alas, it did not skip my generation.

Good morning!

I am starting to feel the Holiday Crunch. And, as usual, jobs have started to come out of the woodwork. Just in the last few days, we got 4 jobs in and two of them are two-day jobs. One customer was nice enough to say she could wait until January. She's a Saturday install so that is a gift to me!

Peg, Welcome Home! Please post some pictures of your apartment. 70 degrees? Oh, you must be in heaven right now!

Terry, I am sorry to hear your family has the Bad-Timing Gene, too.

Donna: OMG. I can't believe Steph voted Judd off. The very guy she says she "owes big time" for picking her to join him in the reward. I understand their rationale . . . Judd was a fairly strong player . . . but I still think they should have voted off Lydia. That little Fishmonger may end up with the whole thing!

Shelley: Have you opened up your Christmas presents with your daughter and her family? How did your DGS like his picture?

Have to get moving. I'll be back later.

Hello, Peg, and everyone! Tonight is the first night of The Journey to Bethlehem. Cast and scenery in place. Stage fright commencing. The weather will be clear and cold--that's good. The "real" Christmas starts this evening.

Meanwhile, let's see if the low-tech dodo manages to get the Santa Pelican up on the screen. Okay experts. It tells me my file size is too big. How do I "ensmall" it in Photoshop? What numbers do I jigger?

Good morning!

I hope everyone is well. This morning, I moved from one purse to another. I thought they were pretty much the same, but the new one seems a bit smaller and doesn't have built-in wallet. My old one did.

Now, I am wearing the purses around my neck, as I did the switching at school. I will bring them back to my car when I get a chance.

Yesterday, I went to Hobby Lobby and got a Christmas stocking holder. I will return one I had gotten the day before that I didn't like as much. I also went to Meijer and got some groceries. I tooled around the store in the electric cart. I have never used one when shopping with my DH.

Today, I need to trade cars with my DSIL as he intends to do the 45000-50000 mile check-up on the car Saturday. He works somewhat near the school I work at, so it won't be a big deal to trade cars.

I hope you have a wonderful day!

Barb,
Let's see if I can help you...
Go into photo shop, click on image, then click on image size. You might want to make a copy of the picture to work on, and save your original.
Anyway, after you click on image size, make the pic about half of what it is already, or a good size to post here is around 200 pixels.

Shell

PS...yes, Isaijah loved his autographed photo. We framed it in a red *distressed* wood frame...just perfect for a little boy's room, I think!

I'll try and pop back in later.

(((hugs)))

It's Friday....thank gawd. Now if it continues to snow, I don't have to worry about driving into work tomorrow. It snowed another 4 hours last night....just enough to make it real mucky on the way to work. I have to give credit to the highways maintenance men...they are doing a great job keeping the roads up.

Now the great news......the mudding is finished. I couldn't be happier. He's going to leave the sanding to us, which is nothing. He's done such a smooth job that I don't think it will take more than an hour to sand both rooms. I'm hoping to paint this weekend.

Alida: I saw it coming that Judd was a goner. The more I watch Steph, the more I don't think I like her. I know it's just a game, but her attitude is starting to bug me. I think I'm leaning toward Rafe. Might change my mind later though.

Brenda: My dh came home from work last night with a big bag in his arms which was for me. 6 bottles of bubble bath. Last night, I had a White Chocolate Latte bubble bath. Are you drooling? It smelled so darn good I wanted to drink it! Then I have waiting for me Honey, French Lilac, Lavender, Peach and Honeysuckle. Am I spoiled...yup.

I think my scale is possessed. This morning I was down a 1/2 pound. I was sure it would be more. I've been so good for 2 days that it scares me. So, I just moved the scale a little bit on the floor and voila....another 1 1/2 pounds gone. I tried it again and it was still gone. I left it there and told dh to weigh himself and he had gained a pound since yesterday. I think the floor isn't even and it's playing games with me. Actually, I don't think anything in my house is even. lol

This morning is going to be a busy one for me. I have to leave in an hour to take the furkids to the vet. It's time for Lily's checkup and shots and I need to pick up some pills for Mister. Then it's back to work for a little bit and then lunchtime. Looks like the weather is going to co-operate so I won't have to drive through a snowstorm anyway.

The post office is starting to co-operate and show up with a few of the gifts that I've ordered online. I'm still waiting for an order from Chapters, Futureshop and a small store in a town 4 hours from here that carries dh's favorite aftershave. ($100 for 2 bottles of aftershave? wow!) Then tomorrow if the roads are good, we are going to drive to town and do some serious christmas shopping. Can't wait to get to the toy department. I love to play with the toys and it drives dh nuts. Nothing better than to get a whole row of toys talking or singing and then leave that aisle and watch the reaction of other people. lol

Tonight is the Santa parade in our sleepy little town and the stores stay open until 11 p.m. for Santa Maddness. We'll be missing that for my grandaughters first christmas concert tonight. That should be so much fun. Then Saturday night we are going to a Garth Brooks impersonator. Only have to walk across the street for that to the Legion. It will be nice to have a night out.

Better get some work done...have a great weekend everyone.

Okay. Let's try this again. Yay! That worked. Y'know, the image box I was looking at didn't always show the Resolution feature. I knew something was missing.

Well, there's a first time for everything. I just lost a long post. I don't know what I pushed, but it was the wrong thing!

Let's see..........We are just about settled. I need to buy some hangers, and then I can hang my clothes. The apt. is furnished quite luxuriously. It's a queen bed, so DH and I are "closer" than we are used to. But, it's all good. We have an artificial fig in the living room. I'm going to buy some Xmas lites to put on it. I brought some Christmasy things, but not enough. I'll find a dollar store today to get some more cheap things.

Brenda: I've got my knitting out and ready to start. Our living room looks out into the trees and the gate. We are on the 2nd floor. It's a good location except for the trucks that come in the gate at 7:00 am! What are you doing this fine day? Is it cold there? (he, he) I've got the bedroom window open.

Alida: Hooray for Christmas work, huh? My bf is frantically busy with the holidays, but loving every minute. It means good profits. She stopped by last night for dinner. It was great to catch up.

Barb: "Break a leg" tonight at the Christmas pageant. I fully understand what you mean about it starting the season. We will attend the "Feast of Lights" at the University of Redlands (my alma mater) on Monday night. It used to start the season for us too. In fact, "back in the day" I was the house manager for it. (One of my many and varied careers)

Judy: Sounds as if it is a busy week and weekend for you. Post when you can. Let us know how it's going for you. I was afraid that there was something wrong with my compuer. But, I think it was the connections at the different motels. Because when I opened it up this morning, I had my choice of about 15 wireless connections! (It is a huge apt. complext) Now I can get into that darn HD. Yay!

Terry: I'm still floating on our visit. It was wonderful and rich. DH is planning on making cauli-mash soon. He loved it! I DO hope that you can make it down to SoCa while I'm here. Though, we'll be back next year in September (hopefully) for good.

Well, DH's DD1 is coming for lunch tomorrow, and my DD3 and her (well, you know) are coming next Sat. I'm hoping that we can get into Pasadena next week some time to see the darling gkids. It's great to be so close. We are going to the UCC church this weekend, and DH wants me to go to our old home church (ABC) next weekend. I can't seem to convince him that I am not ABC anymore. "I know," he says, "but it won't hurt you to go once in a while." Um hmm. I suppose that is true.

Bf has a truck that she is going to loan us while we are here. That will help alot.

Well, I'll go now. It's great to be back on line. Great to be back with you all. I've missed you greatly.

Peace, Peg

Shelley: forgot to comment on the visit with DD and Dgs. Is/was it good? What did your DD say about your nose? I can count on my DD3 to tell me the truth with love about my body. I don't know why I trust her so, but she is gentle and knows the hurt of careless comments.

Donna: Hooray that the mudding is done. I hope that the rest of it goes smoothly for you. Sorry (a little) for you that you are in the snow. I won't say too much about our weather. Though, it is supposed to rain today. The sun peeks in and out.
