Unhappy low-carb/low-fat/low-calories diet

Basically, I decided in August 2006 to start losing weight, because I had had enough of being fat. I decided to originally go low-carb, because I had previous success on it 3-4 years ago. Now its is February 2007, and I am 100 lbs lighter. At first I just went low-carb, not super-low-carb, but low carb. I ate as much cheese and meat as i wanted, I still ate fruits and such...and didn't consider sugar alcohols carbs. I was 5'9 280 lbs. Now I am around 180, and I fluctuate 5 lbs around this. I started taking hydroxycut a month after I started the diet, and that only helped. I was losing around 20 lbs a month. NOW, My diet has become much more restrictive and fake (as in, egg substitutes, artifical sweeteners, zero carb marshmallows, etc). After reading many things against the low-carb diet (Jose Cruise or something), I didn't decide to stop low-carbing, but instead i started lowering my carbs more, as well as fat and calories. Now I think I"m going crazy. I only eat around 800 calories a day. I rarely eat beef (too much fat), and I pretty much only eat chicken, turkey, and fish for my meat, I eat alot of vegetables, and spend more time looking at Nutrition facts than eating the food. I don't eat dinner. and every other day or so I excercise aggressively, an hour and 15 minutes or so on the elliptical burning a 1000 calories.

I need help. I constantly think I'm gaining the weight back, and I'm starting to go crazy for the taste of sugar, and I'm trying to find alternatives for it just to taste it (sugarfree gum, stevia, splenda, ASPARTAME, etc. etc. etc.) I know I've lost a lot of muscle too. And Ive been stuck at 180 for a while. (I was at one point 176 but in a matter of a days, I'm 180). How can I gain muscle again? How can I raise my metabolism without gaining weight, because I know it has slowed down. I plan to return to whole grain carbs, and a limited amount of refind sugar, once I get to my goal of 160. Someone PLEASE HELP ME. I've had enough, and I even cried on the phone today, after seeing all my friends eating sandwiches burgers, and peach cobbler during the superbowl, as I sat there with my plate of 2 chicken legs, lettuce and cucumbers. Please HELP ME somebody. I wanna lose the fat, gain muscle again to increase my metabolism, add more real food into my diet, ALL without gaining weight again. What do I do?

kamhaik,
You need to see a physician about your thoughts of eating and dieting.
We are not a medical community nor can we offer any medical advice.
I urge you to seek help for what sounds like eating disorders.
Due to this, I am closing this thread.
