| Morning fly-by. I'm on my way to Cycle in a few minutes. The party and speeches yesterday went very well. BF looked amazing in the black-and-white outfit she bought for the occasion. Yes, she is a writer--a poet. However, her role at Hallmark was managing editor, so her responsibilities were more executive than "creative" in the writing sense. I'm sure she will find interesting things to do in the Real World. She'd be great as a consultant--on any number of subjects. For now, I think "couch potato" looks good, and I hope she'll be able to enjoy that for a short while anyway. Her husband just retired, too. Have a great day everyone. |

| Good morning! Let's see if I can remember .... Peg, I guess Bren has a Mac .... those Mac people sure know how to stick it to us PC people ... Congrats on the possible interim post for this summer! I know you will love it ... along with the extra cash. So fingers crossed. How's your BF doing? Judy, it's Wednesday, so you are in St. Louis! Everything going well? Brenda, well, you have about 5 more weeks until you have to have your taxes done! I've never seen Turbo Tax. The commercials sure make it seem easy! We bite the bullet and have our accountant do our taxes. It's still a lot of work getting everything together, though. Shelley, had a tough day, huh? I'm glad today will be a little better for you. But being part time must be absolutely, positively wonderful! I am thinking once my social security kicks in next year, I will cut back on hours. Barb, I am so glad the party/speeches went well. Work just won't be the same without her, though, will it? Shelley's suggestion of that liquid bandage stuff was great for your thumb. Have you tried it yet? Donna, get rid of warts with a potato? Hmmm. Luckily, I have never had a wart! That Vicks idea (via Brenda!) also sounds fascinating. Never had a fungus, either ... but my daughter in-law does on her big toe. I'll mention it to her! Heather, well, you get the Energizer Bunny Award! Every time you mention "declutter" I get a very small urge to do the same. Notice operative word small." Terry & Berta: HELLO! I hope all is well. Off to do more computer work. I am struggling with a design for an Etchlike job. I am doing the design myself on my computer (Illustrator) so my vinyl sign guy can cut a template using low-tack vinyl. I've used this type of template for signage (words) but never for a decorative design. And being O/C, I am really being paranoid about it. It's a modern design ... all angles and curves. The angles are a snap, but the curves are driving me crazy. Have a great day! XXOO

| Morning Barb and Alida Would you believe, more SNOW last night. Ok, that's Quite Enough, thank you! Barb, enjoy the cycling. I'll be at the gym myself a little later this am--once the roads are more cleared. No wonder your friendship with bf has lasted so long--you both are wordsmiths and no doubt in sync in many ways. Alida, I have a pc, too. If it weren't for dh I'd have a clay tablet and stylus. May your etchlike job go like a dream today. Everyone else, gotta run for now...see ya.

| Okay, so I'm making a doctor appointment this morning. You wonder why? She has all this energy! BC - Night and hope to see you this morning! Barb - Does your BF and her DH have plans of travelling or anything exciting now that they are retired? I can only imagine what it would be like to be free of a schedule without jobs and kids in the home. Sounds exciting! Alida - Thanks! With all this decluttering you would think I'm nesting. Awww......to have another baby. Dang tubes being tied! Was pretty sick during each of my pregnancies that even the doctor thought it was a good idea. Blah! - - - - - Now if you read every word of this I'm truly impressed as it seems I wrote a book this morning. |

| Heather, I'm glad you're going to check with the doctor. There's no doubt that you use up a LOT of energy with kid-chasing, housework, workouts, and everything else you do. However, you are much too young at 30 to be feeling the effects of "getting older." In fact, you'll be much too young at 60. That I know. Lack of energy is NOT inevitable with getting older. That's nonsense. Hope you and your doc can figure out what's going on. Alida, hope your project goes well today. Being a perfectionist, you're well-suited to your profession. |

| Good mornin' Lovelies! Heather: I ditto Barb! Honey, I am 63 and don't have those symptoms. Thirty IS much too young to be feeling that way. Don't forget the effect that hormones have on your body. It sounds to me like that, to tell the truth. But, get thee to the Dr! I'm foolishly trying to post again. This computer is driving me crazy!! Our electricity is supposed to go off today and possibly be off until 3:00. Lots of reading for me today! But I wanted to get this posted before that. Today is my "coaching" day too, and he is going to call at 9:00. We saw "Amazing Grace" last night. It was truly wonderful. I loved it. We were one of three in the entire theater. That was a shame. I think the whole world should see it. There are truly parallels to today's political environment. 'nuff said. We got an email from a cruise company looking for clergy to work on their cruises for a free cruise. We jumped on it and sent in our resumes yesterday. We requested two cruises to Hawaii and one through the Panama Canal. We'll see if it pans out. If you remember, we did that one other time and couldn't go when they called at the last minute. It was a cruise over Christmas. This year I would gladly cruise over Christmas! I don't want a repeat of last year. It would be nice to "get outta town." Bgf called last night and her pathology showed everything clear!!! Yay! This is truly a miracle, guys. The Dr. was really puzzled. Not me. DD is back in the whirlwind. I'm staying out of it. New wrinkle with the 'puter today. The printer won't work. No unconnected wires. Everthing shows it working. But, it's not. I may not call the Geeks today since the electricity will be off. Gotta go and turn off the 'puter. RATS on the snow, Bren. Back later, I hope. Love you all, Peg |

| Oh good, I hope it is hormones. Something simple and typical for a woman I could live with. Really think it is going to turn out to be nothing but like I said, I don't need any help with not being able to lose weight. Can do it fine on my own if only this body will cooperate. So body! No more fatigue for you you got that? I'm so excited about my peanut butter shipment that is about to come in. I love peanut butter but normally don't buy it because I overeat on it. So of course I found http://www.bellplantation.com/new/ca...&products_id=2 a peanut butter with only 54 calories per two tbls. Had great reviews! I've got a plan though. Since I got 4 jars (minimum 4) I'll have DH hide 3 of them then I'll make a load of sandwiches with the rest and freeze them. I heard that peanut butter sandwiches freeze great. Peanut butter is my all time favorite food. FedEx said that it is scheduled to arrive today. Last edited by babybluejay1; 03-07-2007 at 04:23 PM. Reason: word fix |

| Good morning ladies. Did you see the news last night? Now they are saying that low carb diets are one of the best around. We could have told them that. I'm thinking there will be another huge amount of people trying it again so maybe some new products might hit the grocery shelves? For the first time since last October I'm able to come to work wearing a blouse instead of a sweater or sweatshirt. Spring is definitely here! (sorry Brenda). You can see the willow trees are turning yellow just waiting to burst into leaves. Lots of things popping up in the ground, and plenty of tiny calves laying on the ground beside their mommys. Love this time of year with all the new life!! Took my furkids for a walk last night. If you call walking two steps and stopping while they sniff then walking a few more and having people stop me to ask what breed they are and can they pat them. *sigh* so frustrating when I want to try and pick up some speed. That's why I usually leave them home and walk them later! I've been soooo good, seriously, no seriously!! But, the scales still don't like me. I'm sitting at 162 and hate it. No reason for it not to drop that I can think of. The hot flushes are driving me nuts. Brenda, did you send them back to me? I have really sensitive skin so when I start to sweat like I am the skin on my face burns. My chin is beet red and so sore! I feel like a teenager going through a breakout!! My ds and his wife have taken on a new venture. They took on a gas station in the town where they live. We offered to answer any questions they might have before they signed the contract but of course these young people know it all. They signed the contract anyway. From what we are hearing they're having all kinds of trouble. Sure hope they didn't do something stupid like put their house up for a loan to take this business on. At least ds didn't quit his job at the mill. Heather: Did you make it to the dr? Don't fool with this. At least for peace of mind it would be worth it to find out what's happening. Let us know! Peg: Oh, that would be wonderful to get a free cruise! I'd take it in a minute, just like you would. Hope they do call you! Brenda: Snow? I'm so sorry. At least our winters here don't drag on. Like I said before, once we hit February that's the end of the snow. It was 17 here yesterday (68F). Gotta love that. I'll send you some sunshine! Barb: What's your weather like there? Are you able to get that top down on the Miata yet? Alida: Hope you're able to get that design done today. I'd love to watch you work and see how you do it. Is it basically all done on the computer? Guess I shouldn't push my luck by staying in here too long. The boss is on a rampage today....one of the drivers hit and killed a horse this morning. Over $10,000 damage to the truck. Guess he has a good reason to be grouchy!!

| Hi guys, I'm home....yay! Feels good to sit down with a cuppa DCGT and put my feet up....yeah, bay-bee! Alida...YES! Being back to part time status is heavenly! I highly recommend it! I was just so burned out on *stuff* at work. Long story, not for public comment, but you can guess, I'm sure. Barb...Did you send the *Insomnia Fairy* down here to me? LOL. I woke up this morning about 0130; maybe dozed off again at 0330, then time to get up at 0500. I'm to dang old to be going without sleep! It makes my *grouchy* come out...<snort> Bren...more snow for you guys? Ack! Hope this will be the last of if for you all in the MW. But, winter has a way of creeping back in when we think it's spring; at least here in OOOOklahoma. I'm not 100% convinced spring has sprung here; I think we are getting close though. Anyhooo...hope you get some nice spring like weather soon. Peg...what wonderful news for your bgf!!! Yay! I know that news will take a load off her mind...and yours to! How cool would that be to get to work on a cruise ship??? If it happens...we want details...I might have to sign up and come aboard your ship!!! Now that would be fun! Heather...hope things get better for you. I'm not sure I understand ~exactly~ what's going on with you...severely bloated abdomen and extreme exhaustion? At any rate, it would be a very good idea to get it checked out. Everyone else...Judy, Donna, Bert, Teel...hope all is well. We celebrated one of our most beloved Dr's birthday at work today. Oh my goodness! We all pitched in and got her the most decadent(hidden text) 5 layer chocolate mousse cake I've ever seen! OMG! Ummm...yes, I did...'nuff said! LOL. OK...need to go write out some bills and do a few other chores. hitting the submit button before I lose this post!!! (((hugs to all!))) Shell

| Shelley - Probably not related. Probably just need a vacation. Hi guys!! I tried some peanut butter and it was so wonderful and smelled so great in the jar. It's powdered! But the 2 TBLS/54 calorie serving makes a whole sandwich for only 134 calories. Think I've tasted a bit of heaven today. Watched little one today and then when she leaves nephew is spending the night. We'll be heading to church: me with my 2 boys and 2 nephews. Car load of very active kids. Nephew is moving this weekend so we'll be getting pizza tonight before church. I've already counted the pizza in my calorie count so I could enjoy some too. Can't suffer and just watch everyone else eat it could I? Couldn't get on the site earlier, must have been down. |

| Well, I'm back complete with new mani, pedi, and a full set of fake fingernails. NOW I like the way that my hands look. But, I am back to "clicking" on the computer keys. I walked over to the nail place, which is across the street from our apt. complex in a four block long shopping complex with Best Buy, Target, Barnes and Noble, and a bunch of other bargain stores. Kind of fun. When we move into the ofh, I will have to drive to get to anything remotely "bargain." It's a college town with a quaint college downtown. High priced stores, with high priced stuff. Sigh. But, it is walkable from us, and hopefully I will learn to walk by then! Heather: I didn't see that you called the Dr. today. Why? Shel: So good to hear from you, girlfriend. Yaknow, I miss you. Bren: Ack on the snow! What did you do today? Barb: I know what you mean about missing your friend. Honey, if it were me I would be beside myself. I have been thinking all day about that woman who worked in my office at the church where I served for two years in MA. Remember? She was the cutest and most wonderful young woman. Always wearing the newest and most stylish casual clothes. I miss that church. Probably because the entire staff was fully 30 years younger than me. It made me feel young every day! Well, I'm pressing my luck to have been able to post this much without losing my post. I'm going to sign off for the day. Love you all, Peg |
