May Day! Shelley, I'm glad you were the earlybird, or I would have completely forgotten.

Heather having a birthday? Well, have a happy! Is there a birthday dance on the WII?

Do kids these days know the old custom of leaving May Baskets? On the first day of May, us kids would make little decorative cones (out of old gift wrap, for example) with a pasted-on handle. Then we put a little bunch of flowers in the basket (dandelions work fine, but pansies are nice), hang it on someone's doorknob, ring the bell, and run away. Of course, my mom said we couldn't pick the neighbor's pansies for that purpose.

I'll be back to see who's here later today. Be well, m'dears.

Shelley - have a great day and thanks for the birthday wishes.

Judy - thanks for the advice and I'll use it. I won't trash it but if I can't figure it out I'll take it into service. Thanks again for helping me out. It worked perfectly at first and I loved it. I'm betting it just needs a good cleaning.

Barb - It is my 29th birthday. Can't wait to turn on my Wii because it did ask for our birthdays. It would be fun if the little Wii's did a birthday dance or something. I'll make sure that everyone is home when I turn it on to check. The kids would laugh so hard and wouldn't want to miss out on an opportunity like that.

------
From the school am/lunch with ds/after school/the grocery store = 8 miles of walking to be done today. Whew! After school we'll stop at the park to play a game of baseball before meeting dh at home for more Wii. His shoulder was killing him this morning from playing yesterday. When we play the bowling game I think he swings his arm with the same strength he would with a regular bowling ball - lol.

I've been trying and trying to get in here today...but with month end and all...I've been pretty busy. So this will be short.

I seem to be stalled as far as getting my weight down goes. Today wasn't nice at 162.5 :( I don't think I've been eating enough the last couple of days. There isn't anything good to eat from concession stands at ballgames so I tend to not eat at all. I've also started to up the distance I'm walking at night so that might have something to do with it....muscle maybe.

Heather: Happy Birthday...oh, if I was only 29 again and knew what I know now....what a different life I would lead. lol

Barb: We never did the May baskets, but I was always one of the dancers for the Maypole. I loved winding the ribbon around the pole and seeing it weave itself down the pole. I'd probably break my neck trying it now.

Alida: Busy today, I guess.

To everyone else....a big HI...this working is getting in the way of my having fun.

Hey, when you live in Texas May 1 is pretty overshadowed by Cinco de Mayo. We never did any of those things....... but we sure swung some mean pinata sticks.

When I was a kid in grade school...back in the dark ages(1960's), we had a May Day Festival. We danced around the Maypole, also Donna, and the older kids that were in the school choir performed as well.
It was a very special day at my school. We were requested to *dress up*, so that was another opportunity to wear your Easter duds, besides church.
Ahhh....the *good ole days*

Headed to a hot shower and jammies and sofa holding. My throat is getting sore again...ack! I'm hoping it's only allergies as I didn't take any meds this morning because it was a work day. I will definitely get a benadryl on board after my shower; fingers crossed that will take care of the itchy, scratchy throat.
Always something....

They need me to work tomorrow, so another early day...but, I can sleep in until 0430...yippee skippee...LOL.

Is the Pegster back???? I thought I saw her logged on earlier today. Peggy....we are missing you, m'dear!

(((hugs to all)))

Good morning!

For some reason, my post from yesterday morning did not post! I could have sworn I pushed the right button ..... Now I can't even remember what I said -- but I do remember wishing Heather a HAPPY BIRTHDAY!

Bert, thank heavens DH's surgery went well! Thank you for letting us know.

Listen to this one -- I just got an e-mail from HP talking about a new digital camera with a ..... SLIMMING feature. WOW. If it works as show on their site, I want one!

http://www.hp.com/united-states/cons...-1205-slimming

I have some things to do this morning, so this is short. Peg's back already? I thought it was more like the 5th .....

Have a great day everyone! XXOO

For some reason, my computer was being stubborn at home early this morning. I think Time/Warner must be having a glitch, because my dad said his e-mail was not working for a while either.

Berta, best wishes to you and dh for a speedy and comfortable recovery!

Shelley, same to you. Although it's a little late for "speedy," since you've been dealing with this ickiness for quite a while. Any pampering activities you think up get full blessing.

Gotta get to work. Everybody take care today.

Morning everyone! Walked ds to school this morning but it looks like it will rain. Might not be able to walk him back but DH has the day off and will drive him back. Grandparents (in-laws) came over yesterday to watch Jay and Charlie box on the Wii against each other and play golf. They laughed so hard and we had a good time. Since it was my birthday I fed the kids peanut butter sandwiches for dinner - lol. Jay also had a can of oysters that I picked up for him at the store yesterday because he absolutely loves them. Back to feeding the kids good veggies with their meals now.

--------------------------

Donna - thanks for the birthday wishes. Next years plans are to have a combination party with my brother in law who will turn 30 within a month 1/2 of me. // I find that when I don't eat enough I stall at my weight big time. It just doesn't seem fair to work so hard torturing yourself and plateau does it?

Shelley - How is your throat today? // I thought that it was funny you said you'll be sleeping in until 0430. This morning at 5am I woke up as usual but don't have M to watch so decided laying in bed for some lazy time would be good for me. Wouldn't you know that at 7am I didn't want to get out of bed? I think I should start listening to my body.

Berta - So glad to hear about your DH!! Will be waiting to hear how he continues. Can't believe that he is walking around on day 1 - wow!

Alida - Thanks for the Happy Birthday. // At my diet center they have that slimming camera. They took my picture not to long ago when I had 10 pounds to go and it was a nice motivation treat.

Barb - Have a good day! Like the smiley? He's a card maker.

Morning everyone. We actually got rain last night....I knew I should have cut the grass. Now it will have to wait until Friday probably. Oh well, it's not going anywhere.

I walked just over 3 miles last night. I was just in one of those moods where I could have just kept on going, but I knew I had laundry in the washer so had to go home. Unfortunately, the scale didn't reflect my good work yesterday. I think it's stuck!!

When I got home from work yesterday there was a message on the machine that the dr. wants to see me again. I'm sure it's about the results of the blood tests. I have a feeling they will be positive for h.pylori but have to wait and see. I'll call the office this morning, but don't have any hopes of getting in to see her for probably 2 weeks.

Shelley: Wow...you've really been battling the big one haven't you? There is some kind of flu going around here too...we have 3 people at our store who have it. Take care of you!

Alida: Lost a whole post? Bummer! I thought it was funny you didn't post yesterday.
Isn't this the week that Grey's Anatomy is a 2 hour episode?..crs.

Barb: And you're having computer problems! Just doesn't end does it? My radio at work has gone kaput....it sure is way to quiet when you work alone without music. I'll have to fix it today.

Berta: That's great news about your dh!! Hope the recovery goes as smoothly.

Did someone say Peg is back already? Time sure does fly...seems like she just left. I bet it went even faster for her!

Ballgame tonight...if it rains....awwwww, we just might have to go shopping. lol Talk to you all later I hope.

Hi Sweeties! I'm writing to you from the ship while I look out the window at the beautiful island of Bora Bora (Bali Hai). We are ab out to go into town for shopping! It's cloudy and rainy. We are being pampered beyond imagination! We won't be back until next week. Paying by the minute, so won't go into detail until we get back. Suffice it to say that induction won't be far away when we get back! Eating and drinking around the clock!

Love, Peg
