down 2 lbs for the week; however, that loss was in the first 2 days, and no loss since 1-1-08 I'm thinking the rest of the pounds I need to lose are gonna have to be blown off with some dynamite! OK...OK...truly, I think they may not budge until I get back into my exercise routine. Soooooo....me thinks I may haul my behind to the gym tomorrow if the weather is crummy, otherwise I'll hoof it or bike the 'hood.

Hi Gang! I'll come back later with numbers. But........after a terrible day yesterday, I lost a pound. So, today, I have lost five pounds since the first. Pretty good, huh? We had turkey and gravy and stuffing today at the ofh. It was good. I limited my intake of gravy and stuffing, but loaded up on turkey. I also had a nice big salad. Skipped the dessert.

Peace, Peg

Ok, tomorrow is Monday......... hope springs eternal. I'll be better that I have been the last couple of days. I did avoid the frozen cookie dough in the freezer. I had actually forgotten about it...... then saw the container earlier this evening. I really really wanted it, but I made myself stay away. I feel virtuous.

Judy, bite the bullet and convey that frozen cookie dough to the trash immediately. If you can't stand to "waste it" give it to a colleague or a neighbor. Why torture yourself??

It's HOT in KC this morning. I'm sorry, but it's January. I want COLD.
Cold burns calories.

Hi Gang! Didn't lost anything overnight. Weight: 199.4

Here's my numbers for yesterday:

Calories: 1656
Carbs: 132 (net) 33%
Prot: 81.9 20%
Fat: 85.1 46%

Well, the percentages are pretty okay, but the carbs are bad! Sheesh. It is in this that I see the value of tracking! I didn't lost anymore weight this morning. Now I see why! I'm going to analyze what it was that I ate that caused all those carbs. How depressing, I didn't even have any bread or dessert. (Of course, I did have about a cup and a half of eggnog with.

I try to eat the flaxmeal hot cereal or a flaxmeal muffin; salad, another *good* veggie at dinner, and I am at the level of carbs I do some fruit almost everyday...usually strawberries, raspberries or half an apple.

today's scoop:
  • 1418 cal
  • 81g fat
  • 103g pro
  • 83g carb
  • 33g fiber
  • 50g net carb...a bit high, but mostly from veggies and tonight was frozen stby *smoothie* night.
  • Will try and keep net carbs lower tomorrow for sure.
  • down half a pound this morning; we'll see if it sticks.

Hi, Kids. I'm keeping my records in Fitday, and I'll post a weekly summary instead of a daily report.

Today I made flaxmeal cereal instead of a muffin. I forgot about that cereal until I ran across it in a recipe search. Costco finally decided to restock my favorite mixed berries, so that's today's treat.

I'm opening up my menu with nuts and berries. I don't have much trouble keeping carbs low when I'm eating normally and not snacking on junk. I'm pretty deep in ketosis, which didn't take long to achieve.

I haven't dropped any more pounds since that initial whoosh--but as I mentioned, that's not my goal now. Restoring my normal LC lifestyle is, and so far I feel comfortable with that.

Enjoy today, and don't beat yourself up over food or weight or anything else! Life's too short.

Bringing it over from Fitday for Tuesday:

Cals 1305
Fat 83g 59%
Carbs 19 net
Prot 111 g 35%

Wt. 136

I made a broccoli slaw using Henry's dressing recipe to take to the potluck tomorrow. At least I'll have one thing legal to eat. It's really delicious, too. I made extra so I'll have some for lunches and suppers at home.

Looks like I've only had about 900 calories today, which might be why I'm hungry! I think I'll have a nice protein shake or something before I commit to a total for the day.

See you all tomorrow
