Hey Bren...congrats on the weight loss!
You and sistaSue are our inspiration sistas!!

well, unplanned dinner date with DH to our little Chinese restaurant near the house.
So, my totals for the day are higher than I wanted...boo and hiss...but not as bad as they could've been, I guess

anyhoo...
  • 1207 cal
  • 73g fat
  • 72g pro
  • 75g carb
  • 26g fiber
  • 49g net carb
walked 45 min/2.59 miles/210 cal burn
If the weather cooperates tomorrow, I'll walk again if the heel feels ok. I'm really trying to be very cautious with this touchy heel. I DO NOT want foot surgery, thank you very much!

over and out!

WTG, Shell, getting out there and exercising today!
I have got to get moving, hopefully when the inflammation diminishes somewhat I'll be able to get back on my Gazelle.

Brenda, on the weight loss. That's a nice percentage for you.

down a pound this morning; very surprised due to the soy sauce I had last night, but who am I to look a gift horse in the mouth, yanno??? LOL!

today's scoop, as ugly as it is:
1354 cal
62g fat
114g pro
94 carb...gadzooks!
34g fiber
60g net carb! Holy cow!!

walked 60 min/3.41miles with a good calorie burn. Hopefully some of those carb calories were burned!

almost off splenda; had one drop in my coffee this morning and a few drops in my smoothie after dinner. pretty much down to 1 cf diet cola a day. And that's a BIG deal, believe me!

over and out!

Judy, kiddo...don't be impressed with me! LOL! I seem to be doing the 1 pound-2 pound hoki-poki! one day down 2, then the next up one, yanno...right foot in, left foot out...shake it all about and repeat...yatta, yatta, yatta... hehe

today's numbers:
1406 cal
88g fat
85g pro
87g carb
31g fiber
56g net...oye!

with numbers like this, it's no wonder I'm doing the hoki-poki! blah!
gonna keep on keepin' on though. And pray for an early spring so I can get back to my biking! Man, I miss that!

over and out.

Shell, I'm getting anxious for spring, too.

I've done pretty good with my food plan today. The only questionable thing I had was 4-5 stone ground wheat crackers. At least it was better than regular saltines.

I need to up my water, it's just so much easier to drink water in warm weather.

Shall we just continue this thread a bit longer??
Any thoughts??

I think yes...because as of today, I am doing induction level carbs. I'm not sure how long, but I'm thinking at least 7 days, perhaps 10; If I'm doing well then I may shoot for the whole ball of wax and do 14 days.

It seems I have totally *diddled away* January as far as getting back on track and down to losing some new pounds! Sheeesh...how did I let that happen?? Well, I'm not going to make the same mistake with February!

I have a few events coming up in the next several months and I already have in mind what I would like to wear, and by golly, I want those clothes to fit better, yanno?

Soooooooo..........I'm holdin' my own feet to the fire. 4 weeks from today will be the last day of February...yikes!...but I want to see at least 5 lbs disappear before then!!!

Soooooooo........how's everyone else doing???????
Inquiring minds want to know!! hehe!

Shell, I think we should keep the thread as long as any one more vets wants to do induction. I'll be glad to check in here and give you some encouragement.

Anyone want to do induction or semi- with Shelley???

Let's do leave it open for now. I haven't posted for a few days, thought I was in here talking to myself.

Go for it, SistaShell

Don't look back! You sound determined to finish the job, so let's get it done!!!

I'm still eating at modified induction levels. Modified meaning more than induction, but not OWL. I'm not tracking numbers, but if I can just post each day, that would be great.

Let me know.
