Boy do I understand about sanding and preping shutters......... did some of that last summer during the kitchen overhaul.

Go to Walmart. They have a small pad painter that will fit between the shutters. It's a life saver. I figured that one out too late in the deal. I used a large foam brush that was wide enough to do both sides of an open louvre at one time. Don't get the paint on too thick. It will gum up the mechanism.

Hey Judy!
yeah, sanding is the pits, isn't it! LOL! I used spray paint for the shutters. I had read a few DIY articles about shutters, and spray paint was recommended over brushing. Anyhoo... for a *little project*, it took nearly 3 days!

today's scoop:
1255 cal
80g fat
76g pro
57g carb
20g fiber
37g net carbbetter than 60, but I'd still like to be closer to 25 or so for a few weeks to see if I can get things going again.

I'll give this thread another week or two, then we'll lock 'er up and move on to something else. But, in the spirit in which it was intended, I'm going to try and live up to it's standards!
Being sick for nearly 2 weeks really took it's toll. I'm probably the only person I know who can GAIN weight when sick! Dang!
I'm up about 5 freakin' pounds!
So, back to induction level carbs for me for a few days; I'm gonna try for at the very least, 5 induction days, starting with today.
Notice I said induction level, not induction style; I will try to keep it simple though, meat and veggies for the most part.
sooooo.....today's scoop:
  • 1207 calories
  • 90g fat
  • 82g pro
  • 22g carbs
  • 11g fiber
  • 11g net carbs YAY! and yes, I may have a handful of almonds as a snack raising this another 3 carbs. we'll see.
walked 44 min/2.33 miles/175 calorie burn. We hit a balmy 65 degrees today; we'll pay, I'm sure.

over and out.

WOW Shelley, I'm waaaaaaay impresseddance2

Like I said in the vets thread, I need to start tracking again before things get out of hand. I tend to really fall off during difficult times, which is just when I need to eat right most and feel the best about myself.

SO, I rev'd up diet power this morning and we'll see what happens If any time you want to start a new thread, that's ok, too.

Hey gang!! This is my last week with LAWL and although I'm confident I'll be within my goal range I still want to do my best this last week. Thought I'd do induction levels this week.

LOL...Bren...don't be! Those were 3 pounds that should've never come back and had to be re-lost...grrr! LOL!

today's scoop:
  • 1351 cal
  • 76g fat
  • 109g pro
  • 70g carb
  • 25g fiber

Heather, we'll keep this thread open then until your final weigh in, then I think maybe perhaps we'll gear up more for a OWL accountability type thread.

I'm confused at your numbers though. O carbs...20 net...0 fiber??? And 20g protein is waaaaay low...
typo??? maybe???
Anyhoo...good luck with the final weigh in!!!! I'm bettin' on ya!!

I forgot how I lose hunger with more protein so I ended up changing my calories to 1344 and 19 net carbs. lol I had to use up some of my carbs on sugarless gum because I wasn't hungry.

3 pounds is 3 pounds, Shell But I do know you exactly what you mean about set points. I can't seem to stay below this last set point for any length of time without extreme vigilance. It's just enough over my comfort zone that I can't stand it, ya know?

Heather, bet you'll do great at your weigh in. You and Shelley are two of the most determined people I know

Not off to a great start carbwise, but dh wanted my home made chili with beans. I imagine we'll be eating off that for a couple of days. Nevertheless, now that I'm tracking, I have found I'm saying no to myself more often, and that's a goooooood thing

Calories 841
Protein 62
Fat 40
Carbs 83 (eeeeeek!)
Fiber 32
Net Carbs 51

Sunday:
Calories - 1463
Fat - 71

Eating a lot of chicken today but it's worth it. Hoping that as early as Monday I'll think the scale looks good enough for my final weigh in.
