Oh, Peg. I know you're anxious. Prayers and hugs flying your way.

It is officially the first day of spring--and a beautiful day here. I was up early and out to the park for a run--well, not exactly "run." I'm so-o-o-o slow. But endurance is the goal. It felt GREAT. Now I'm ready to clean up and do a few errands before Good Friday worship at Noon.

Yesterday I paid off the remaining loan on my condo. Yippee!! Once I dump the leased car in August, I'll be month-to-month on bill-paying, and totally debt-free. I see plane tickets in my future. I'll need all the money I can scrape together to pay for the fuel for my travels.

Shelley, did you get beautimous, as we used to say? I need to schedule a brow waxing myself. It's like a mini-facelift.

Heather and Brenda, hope you're not buried in snow. It's just not right--Easter coming so early, and us still bundled up.

to everybody.

Peg, I am so sorry that your DH is having such a hard time. Do you have one doctor that is in charge of everything --- like an overseer? Surgeons tend to deal only with the surgery aspect, an other specialists deal only with their areas. Does he have an internist or hospitalist that is able to look at all the issues and try to decipher or coordinate the care problems? I know you are exhausted............ hugs and prayers for you both.

Peg, I am so sorry to hear about your dh. Here's hoping today is a better day. I know how rough all of this is on you. Take care of you. Hugs and prayers to both of you.

Judy, Hope everything is going as planned today.

We have drs appointments next week. DH's knee is still pretty painful and has lots of fluid on it... one day at a time. I think we are both ready to head for the Land of Oz.

Hi, to all the rest... and have a good day

hi guys,
Well, another day shot to sh**...er...smithereens! After I walked this morning, I had to take a quick shower and meet the bride to give her the cds and original flash card of the wedding pics. We had a nice lunch with the bride and groom. I hope she was pleased with the photos.

Then came home and started in on some more cleaning chores. DH worries when I get in his tool box and start dis-assembling things! LOL! My timing was just perfect though, and he re-assembled what I took apart!(the grill cover thingie over the microwave, and the filters inside it.) Soaked those puppies in some hot amonnia water and they cleaned up like new!
Anyhoo...I've pretty much wrecked my nails, so I'm glad tomorrow is manicure day! Yay!!!

Peg...I'm so sorry Bob has had these complications. I am glad though, that they were on top of his A-fib, and got him cardioverted. Hope he gets on the fast track to a full recovery soon. Hoping you also are able to grab some much needed rest. (((hugs and prayers))).

Judy and Bert...glad things are looking up for you all as well.
Bert...so there's *no place like home*, eh? LOL! Just a thought, but you might want to get a copy of your DH's medical records to bring back to his drs in KS? Happy travels when the time comes!

Barb...yep...I'm beautimous! NOT!!! LOL! My Nana used to say that to!
I would say, this is the best brow wax I've ever had. She got the shape perfect!

Heather...that cartoon *cracked* me up! har!

Bren...how much ****(flakes) did you guys get today? The weather story I saw about Chicago was NOT a pretty picture!

SistaSue...hope you are having a most pleasant weekend! Will you be getting together with inlaws or just chillin' out?

Alida, Donna, MK...whatzzzzup??? Big Easter plans?? Donna, I think I recall you'll be cooking at your DMIL's? Did your DGKs get to come visit you?
Alida...will you be cooking a big Easter feast?
MK...ditto...will your family all be together for Easter?

I think Kassie has gone to bed without me...the little stinker!
She must be tired from *bird watching* all day! She really loves it when the patio door is open; she is sooooo funny watching the birds! OHHHH!!!! I almost forgot...our Purple Martins showed up today!! We were beginning to worry about them as they were about a week late. But, I guess they know best about when the food supply will be here. Smart birds for sure!
We have a pair of cardinals showing up everyday to the feeder and also the male and female housefinch, so it looks like the gang's all here and I think they are all convinced it's spring for sure!!! (sorry Bren!)

OK...I'm getting cross-eyed. Time to say good night, Gracie!

g'night!

(((hugs)))

LOL@Heather!!

Shell, we have so far 5.5-6 inches of s**w. Amazing that it was almost 50 yesterday, and sunny. This has GOT (puh-leeeze) to be the last snow of the year, or at least the last one that sticks.

It was promised snow but nothing! Yeah!! Today shall be busy with Easter egg decorating, nephew coming over to help out, baking for DH coworkers and family and this morning I'm heading out to the gym.

Shelley - Does you little Kassie make any noises while watching birds? My parents had a cat called Cricket once that made little chirping noises. My cat Punkin when I was young would growl and then scream like a women. It was the worst noise! I love cats so much but my allergies have gotten worse as I've gotten older. When the kids leave DH said we'd save and buy one of those allergenic cats.

Good morning!

Peg, how is Bob today? We are all concerned and saying prayers for both of you.

Barb, your paid off your mortgage? And I thought we were doing well paying off our van the other day! Travels? Where? Close your eyes and tell us where your dream vacations are! The other day I saw an ad for Iceland. Sounds like a weird vacation spot but my sister was there many years ago. She loved it. The airfare was pretty cheap, too. I also remember (again, many years ago) the cheapest way to get to Europe was via Iceland!

I just got a strange message. "Real Networks Installer (???) has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience." But I am able to keep on typing. I am going to try to post this .... If I don't make it back, Happy Easter!! XXOO

I am back. I don't know what that was all about.

Shelley, LOL. I am sure your BFF is not going to check out your microwave filters! Have a wonderful time!

Brenda, OMG. Five to six inches of snow? A very big Sigh. Yesterday was beautiful here, but tonight we may get some rain/snow just in time for Easter. This stuff is getting real, real old.

Heather, LOL. That was a funny cartoon! Sounds like you are going to have a wonderful Easter! It's always fun with little ones.

Berta, I am sorry to hear your DH is still having problems. Thinking of coming home already .... or is this the usual time for your return?

Last night I went to Disney "Princesses on Ice." Oh My. I have never seen so many little girls in their princess dresses. My granddaughter wore hers, too. Son Mark said this is the last year for it. I helped her put it on and it's getting pretty tight. Paige is a tad on the chubby side. She is 11 years old, but her autism really has her about 6 or 7. She loves music and was just enthralled with the performance. It actually was pretty entertaining, even for an adult!

Easter is going to be pretty laid back this year. Just Mark and Paige are coming as DIL Beth and GD Sarah are in Chicago. And I decided to do a brunch instead of a dinner. Scrambled eggs, bacon, fresh fruit and some wonderful pancakes that are made with cottage cheese and blueberries.

Have a blessed Easter, everyone. XXOO

Good morning, girlfriends. It is still morning, isn't it? I was up early for a brisk walk to the Nelson, and around the sculpture garden. Then my coffee pot shot cr*ps--sprung a leak I can't figure out. So I went across the street for a cafe au lait at Aixois. I guess my mission for today will be to buy a new coffee pot. This one was not cheap, and only a few months old. But if that's the worst for today, I'm way ahead.

I've been invited to spend the day with a certain gardener, puttering and potting. I have a plant from work that looks seriously dead, but houseplants are hardy, and we might be able to rescue this one.

I hope that the miracle of Easter will extend to speedy recoveries for all spouses and loved ones here.

Now I'm off to do a little laundry and housekeeping.

Peaceful thoughts to all.
