News pics from our rain storms yesterday are here. It was just a bit damp! The trees come down because the ground gets so wet that it can no longer hold the tree top's weight.

Again, no comments from this section.... all about me.

DH stays in hospital till Saturday, leaves and goes directly to airport... we fly to Tulsa and then drive 120 miles to hospital where he will be admitted and given next dose of IV anti-biotics. He is on bedrest except if he really needs to get up.. if you catch the drift. When we get home they will determine the next course of action...........They trie to get Medicare to fly him home..?? but of course Medicare said he could get treatment here.... which would be another 4 to 6 weeks minimum

"There's no place like home, there's no place like home...." Click the heels of your red shoes together and get yourselves back to Kansas. You will feel much better about everything when you get there. If for some reason you stay in Texas, I'd be on my way to Houston or Dallas. Believe me, I wouldn't even stay in my own town if it was something big.

Peg - Now that is love!! I hope that my own DH would do the same but if it was now he would make ds do it. lol
-

Judy - I checked out the picture of the couple on the truck. That would be really scary. Glad they had each other to hold onto.

Berta - Sending love. Thanks for keeping us posted. (((hugs)))

Berta, I'm really sorry. Sending good thoughts and prayers to you and your DH. Bless your hearts.

Peg, glad that everything is coming along for you guys. I love the recycling idea for the coffee can.

Judy, sorry about all the extreme weather. Those pictures really tell the story. Hoping blue skies and sunshine will be yours in short order.

Barb, funny story...I love it! Picture of the sign could have made it on Jay Leno.

Shell, I know you have had a grand time with your BFF. You must be tired, so rest up so you can get back in the groove here with us.

Alida, after the day I've had one of your pancakes sound like such comfort food. Thanks for posting those recipes, I'm going to print them out, they boys would enjoy some good homemade pancakes.

Bren and everybody, thanks for checking on lil Oz. We were concerned that something pretty terrible was going on with him.

Here is a link to the post in my journal about the findings of Ozzie's trip to the vet.

What's up with Ozzie

I think all of us need a .

Susie, I hate to hear that Ozzie has arthritis....... but like you said in your journal, at least you know what it is, and it could be worse. I hope the meds kick in sooner than expected.

FYI everyone. I got an email from Donna this afternoon. She is currently overloaded with responsibilities and wants us to make sure we leave her chair by the fire. I promised her that we wouldn't burn it for firewood.......... Before long, we are going to have to move to the pool.

In the meantime, we are still soggy enough that there are lots of new unexpected "pools" here. A good thing about this area is that there are plenty of creeks and lakes for excess rain water to drain into --- thank heavens. Re the couple standing on the top of the pickup: IDIOTS! That is one of the worst places in town. There are signs warning you not to enter the underpass if water is in the area. I'm betting that the boy figured that his big old redneck truck could take on any little underpass' water. It gets about 6 or 7 feet deep there during flash floods.
