| Hey gang! Twice in one day. I can't remember the last time I did that. Dh's surgery is scheduled for around 9:00 am at Pomona Valley Hospital. It will be a fusion of L2-5 using hardware and his own bone from a laminotomy on those bones before the fusion. Appreciate all the prayers. Keep em coming! Love, Peg |

That is the usual dose for Clindamycin; 900mg every 8-12 hours. If the organism is sensitive to the Clindamycin, when the time is right, they will most likely change him over to oral antibiotics. He could very well need home IV abx therapy for a while... Bless your heart, Bert...and his too...hang in there. (((hugs))) Peg...that is a BIG surgery. Prayers ascending. (((hugs))) s

| Wish I could put my arms around Peg, Judy, and Bert today. In lieu, know that you are in my thoughts as you tend to your loved ones. Peg , you know I will be thinking of you and dh tomorrow. Judy, how's your Dad today? Bert, I hope your dh continues to improve You never complain, but I think in your place I'd be just worn out with worry. Barb, just a few bare hours of work tomorrow. I'm imagining you slipping out early and quietly and as always, with a joyous heart. Alida, did you get your program working? A big lead job? I do hope when you do these you get paid extra! And thank goodness you heard from Tammie. What a great relief it must be to know she's settled, finally! Donna, what a coincidence. I had to take Khaki in for a "private parts" problem, too. Is it a spring thing Susie, so glad that you checked in and have finally had some time off--and can enjoy having the boys home too. I didn't realize dh2 had a gf. Oh to be young Heather, are you feeling better now, after that last donation? I can well imagine that you have been and will continue to be an inspiration at LAWL. Truly you are a success story and if I were in their marketing department, I've have a big poster of you in every center ![]() MK, happy to hear you were able to enjoy your vacation in spite of your foot. It sounds like you both had a great time. But what's not to like there, eh? Shell, did you have to remind me that along with spring comes spring cleaning Ok, maybe I have an excuse because it does NOT seem like spring here yet---that's my story, etc. LOL! You'd asked about my pt or ft preference. I would LOVE a part time job, but I'm trying to be open in case it has to go the other way. Speaking of jobs, here's the scoop. I turned down the position at the physical therapy clinic. It would have been an easy job and I'd have enjoyed it but in the end, it came down to reality. If I have to work, I also have to make it as worthwhile financially as I can. The interview today with Follett? Two hours, double teamed with two managers, who by the way were both young enough to be my kids. Sheesh. I felt like such an antique. I have absolutely no idea how I came across but I know I was nervous and more than I'd anticipated. It'd be a challenging job, but with as good a salary as I could expect in the area for a non-management position. I'm quite conflicted about whether I hope I get an offer or not, so I'm just praying that the right thing will happen, whatever that is. Thinking about it only makes me sleepless and anxious. Hope I haven't missed anyone, and forgive my lapses if I've not covered the latest. Tomorrow it may be a "me" post

| Okay, how's this for a miracle? I'm the first on and I'm on the West coast?! Dh's surgery was cancelled. His surgeon is sick. Dang it! You can imagine that we are swearing around here. We were just going out the door at 5:00 a.m. when they called from the hospital. So, a day stretches before us and we can't think of anything to do. Dh can't walk far, and neither can I. So, we may go to a movie. Love ya'll Peg |

| Oh, Peg. What an awful letdown. The anticipation is so difficult, and now...it stretches on. I'm sorry. Can you have a marita? I'm at the office, enjoying cards, visits, and a huge bouquet of flowers from my new best friend. What a peach! In a short while, I'll meet with the HR rep to sign the termination papers. Then...? I'll probably hang around for lunch, and then hit the road. Need to nap this afternoon, as the Opera will stretch until very late tonight. It's still totally unreal. Brenda, I can only imagine what it must be like going through the interview process--our two worlds in reverse. Brenda or Shelley...when you have some Mod time, will you see about fixing the spelling of "maintenance" in our thread title? Such a tiny thing, but hits me in the eye every day. Thanks. Judy, I love the sign. Yes, the grass is getting greener out there by the day. I can't wait to get up in the morning, and walk in the park. Heather, you okay? Good thoughts to everyone. I'll still be here every day, but with very little to talk about. |

| Hi guys, Just back from my walk...kinda chilly at first, but by the end of the first mile, I was STBO! LOL! Had to take my jacket off and tie it around my waist...I really hate to do that! Anyhoo...hoofed it 3.41 miles, so a nice little calorie burn. Peg...I'm so sorry Bob got cancelled; but, I applaud the Dr for staying home if he/she is ill. I've seen some physicians come to work sick, (not where I'm at now) and it's NOT pretty! And I know you know, it's best that EVERYONE in that OR is on top of their game every day and for every patient. Sending good vibes he get's reschedule soon. Bren... on the interview yesterday. I do hear you on the anxiousness and insomnia that can happen. Inhale...exhale...I know for a fact, any employer would be darn lucky to land you on their team!!! Easier said than done, but....Don't Worry, Be Happy (I just love that little clip!) ![]() Barb...I went *poking* around, and I don't think "Mod-powers" can correct the spelling. I've PM'd Dixie for a correction. Well...this is it! Last day at work. Enjoy. Everyone else...Happy soon to be weekend! ![]() OK...not much going on here in our little corner of the world. I will probably try and finish up my clinical online studies today, then I need to get the owner's manual out for my digital camera, and go over some things to refresh my memory. The wedding is tomorrow night that I am photographing. The bride decided she wanted digital pics instead of 35mm so I want to be sure of all my settings, clean my lenses, get the tripod out and ready...yatta, yatta, yatta. I have NO earthly idea of what I will wear to the wedding. I NEED pockets! Hmmm...clueless..... maybe back later.... (((hugs to all))) s

| Good morning. Well..almost afternoon here. A sunny but cool day today. Barb: Thanks for mentioning the typo. I'm the same as you...I can pick out a spelling mistake at 30 paces. I've often said I should have been a proof reader of some sort. What a nice friend you have to send flowers to you today. So thoughtful. It's going to seem weird for you to not have to go to work next week. Enjoy your last few hours at work...it's all about you today! Peg: So sorry your dh didn't get his surgery today. Hoping it will happen soon. Dh finally called in a repairman for the furnace and last night we had heat....did we ever have heat!! They turned the furnace up to 30C when they were working on it and forgot to turn it down. When I got home 5 hours later the whole house was cookin'. The furnace didn't even come on again until the wee hours of the night. With the price of natural gas those guys will have to learn to be more careful. Dd turned 31 today! I was a little worried about her last night so I went to her apartment but she didn't answer her buzzer. I could have asked the landlord (a friend) to let me in but didn't. I went home and just worried. She must have picked up on it cause she called me at 9:30 to ask if it was me at her door. She's was napping and didn't want company but then thought it might have been me and knows how I worry. See...she's a totally different person now. Anyway, she's fine (3 months 19 days now). My grandkids are coming tonight. Can't wait. I've asked my ds to bring their birth certificates so I can open new bank accounts for them. I'm not happy with the bank I'm at now so I'm going to close out the accounts I started for them and open new ones at a credit union. I called him this morning and he agreed to do it. Looks like whatever he was so annoyed about is over with. I never thought he would talk to me again ... I sure won't bring it up that's for sure. I'm tired today...a nap sounds wonderful but it's just not going to happen. Have a good day everyone. Shelley: Way to go on your walking. I've been taking the dogs out after dinner now that it's still light out...but it's pretty chilly by then. Brenda: Weird that the dogs had a problem in the same area. Sora is doing much better now, but she still screams when I get near her with the cream. The wipes sound much easier to use. She's the biggest baby you've ever seen. Vet's assistant called today and her count for the thyroid pills is right on so that's good news.

| Shelley, that is one adorable kitty cat. What a glamour puss! I can't wait to join you on the jogging trail. Monday for sure! Dixie, thanks for the fix. Nice to see you coming to the surface. Donna, you have a life filled with daily adventures--not always the good kind, but fascinating anyway. If I need a "can do" gal, I'd think of you right away. I came home today after lunch. I napped, cleaned up the pile of mystery papers on my desk. Paid bills. The afternoon was very quiet, and it felt extremely pleasant to be at home--as I will be often from now on. Now I'm going to dress up for dinner and the opera. I feel such peace of heart, and deep joy. I can hardly believe the blessings that have been pouring out for me, and I'm very grateful. |

Shelley, Miss Kassie does know how to pose for the camera. What a cutie. Nice thing about digital is that even bad pics can be photoshopped into something presentable, and good ones can be 'd.Donna, daughter, son and furnace ok (whew).....so now I do hope you have a relaxing weekend. Maybe in your garden? Everyone else big waves out there. Now to the "me" portion of our program. I put my health club membership on suspension today and I am SO sad about it. I'd been holding outeven though I can't justify the $$ right now..... DH does NOT understand how giving up the health club makes me feel and has been completely dismissive. What is it with guys that they can't understand that some things are not only what they are, but also symbolic of much more. Ok, I'll try to perk up and we'll all return to our regular schedule......

| It SNOWED last night! I awoke to white stuff and could hardly believe my eyes. Hopefully, this will be the last of it -- although I do remember early April ice storms. BARB! Today really is the first day of the rest of your life. That is so exciting and I am so happy for you! I can't wait to see/hear your future life direction(s).Peg, e-mail sent. What a downer. Were you able to do some calling? Donna, Barb is right, you know. You definitely are the "can-do" gal! Why is it some men think they can do specialized stuff like fixing furnaces? At least it's fixed. And poor Sora. I do hope she gets better soon. Do you really think DG will put all those winnings back in the business? Boring. I'll bet you can think of 5,000 better things to do with it! Brenda, believe me when I tell you "been there and done that." The realization really hits when you have to stop and cancel stuff. I remember when we canceled our Country Club membership. They were really upset and gave us some grief over it. Harumph! Weekly manicures and the health club were gone, too. Please believe me, too, when I tell you it gets better! Fingers crossed with Follet's. Interviewed with two managers? Hmm. Isn't that usually reserved for a final interview? Judy, How's your Dad doing today? And Berta, ditto the group hug. How's your DH doing? Isn't it wonderful to have a friend like Shelley? Knowing the medicine's dose is "usual" must make you feel a little better. Shelley, that is a beautiful picture of Kassie. I love the ear fur tufts. Have fun at the wedding! Have someone take a picture of you with DH to share ..... Last night I rented August Rush. What a wonderful movie! The music is glorious. A mixture of pop and classical. I think I will get the CD. I also went to WalMart to check out the Kilz paint colors. Kilz was chosen as "best paint" in Consumer Reports. It is much cheaper than Benjamin Moore and the guy in the paint section said he has Benjamin Moore color "recipes" in his computer. Onward. Have a great weekend! XXOO

| Hi!! Just stopping by to say hi. Susie had sent out a APB on me - lol. Haven't been 100% on plan but that's getting old. Feels more rewarding to me and my body to eat lower carb then some of the junk I had. Scale didn't go up from yesterday which I feared after a small bag of movie popcorn. Whew!! Think it helps I've been keeping active too. Well, I have a ton of chores to do today and I'm thinking of a nap as well. |
