| Checking in and glad to hear that Alida's Bob is doing better. Now Berta's DH has to get that new knee! Today's plan is cleaning. Can't believe how fast this house gets cluttered and messy. 3 guys and 1 little gal I babysit I have my work cut out for me today. We'll walk Jay back from school today. It'll be nice to not have any school for a week before the house starts getting built. I'm hoping to have a moment to have the kids help me declutter their home. With the 30 hours we're required to put into our home every week I'm just not sure if decluttering will be on my to do list. I'll just try to clear things out as I see them. |

| Well, I can't believe that I wrote that entry yesterday and forgot to press the "reply" button!! Today I am going to "try" to write. I have to present at our writing group on Thursday. I figure it will take me at least three days to write about something. I must start making a list of things that I want to write about. They pop into my head at the most inconvenient times. Sorry I'm not keeping up with answering you all. I kinow that you know that I love you all and pray and live vicariously through each of you with house building and hospital sitting and vacationing and caretaking and working, working, working. Our weather has been what I call our "winter." It has been 100 and above for about five days. Today is no exception. I call it winter because it is pretty unbearable and everyone just stays inside. It's the price we pay for our unbelievable October through June! Feet healing. Nothing remarkable there. Not much pain at all. I'm ready to get the stitches out and just get on with this thing. I haven't seen the left foot yet. I hope the scars are a little less visible! But, I suspect that there is little chance of that. I told the Dr. that I had 75 prs of strappy sandals that I expect to be wearing this summer. Didn't seem to have any effect on him. Off to "inside territory" (writing land). Peace, Peg |

| Peg.. Obviously your doctor is a man not to understand that 75 prs of sandals are VERY VERY IMPORTANT. Heather.. I'm trying to declutter also.. dh get a ittle frantic, when he thinks I might be throwing some of us "stuff" away. Alida.. what did cardiologist say?? Shel.. see you have started biking.. I need to get my rear in gear too. My mom bought biker (bicycle biker) shorts for Christmas, need to see if they help. Hi to the rest... take care... |

| Good afternoon! Bob will be coming home tomorrow morning. I'll get him settled then maybe go on to work. Surprisingly, after all the hoopla about his heart, they now feel his heart is not involved and they are not going to do any tests. Bob was a little vague. Perhaps he will go to his heart doctor in a few days after he is home. I had a long talk with my BFF and we decided to check Amtrak and see what their cancellation policy is. If there's no penalty, we will see how Bob is on Thursday. She said they don;t mind coming to a dirty house and winging it! What else are good friends for?! Mary Kay, CRS. I forgot you were on vacation! Sounds like you had a good time. I, too, have to start induction. I am hoping my friend (who is a psychotherapist) will be able to visit and run some hypnotherapy on me! "You will NOT eat sweets. You WILL have a successful induction...." You get the drift. Sorry I am not responding to you all. I am trying to straighten up a little just in case they do come and ... wash sheets, etc. for Bob's arrival home tomorrow. I am insisting he stay in the master BR. I think the stairs to the guest BR where he has been sleeping will be too much for him. XXOO

| Wishing you and Bob the best today Alida on his return home. Hope we get some thunderstorms later today. We don't get many of those but they're predicted today. Hopefully it's after we walk ds home from school today. Not much going on today. Cleaning, babysitting, spending time with the kids and then DH when he comes home. Have a good day everyone! |

| A quick check-in this morning. I know Bob is anxious to get home. He can't stand not being clean shaven and with definite bed head! The first thing he will do is head for the shower. And I can't wait to get him home, too. His insurance must have changed because he said something about $175 deductible per day for the hospital stay. I could have sworn when he went in two years ago, we did not pay a single cent. Oh well. My insurance went up, I guess his did too. I am sure he does not read the fine print of his policy when it arrives in the mail. Hoping you all have a good day. Brenda -- feeling better? Ditto to you, Peg. Everyone else --- HI! XXOO

| Good morning. I'm having a hard time remembering this is Tuesday not Monday. My whole week will be screwed up now! It was a gorgeous weekend. Hot, hot, hot and I have a sunburn to prove it. Even burned my toes!! I did have sunscreen on (don't yell at me Shelley!), but that's how hot it was. We all have chairs that have a cover over them which is how my feet and legs got burned. It was so relaxing to get away. My friend even got back from Alberta in time to join us...so her and her dh stayed in the motorhome with us. We even won 2 out of 4 ballgames. Now for us...that's something. Good thing we had a relaxing time cause we came back to a mess at work. The young fellow that we hired about a month ago called in "drunk". He's fired! We're not going through what we did with dd. Now we have to find someone to replace him before the next ball tournement in a couple of weeks. When we got home...on the front porch I found a bag that had leg and arm weights inside it. All it said on the box was that this will make it easier for me on the treadmill. No name no nothin'. Now I don't know who to thank!! Alida: I'm so glad to hear that Bob is feeling better. What a weekend you had. $200 in flowers?.....my kind of girl! lol My dd managed to take care of all my flowers and planters and hanging baskets for me while we were gone. Quite the change from last year when she couldn't even take care of herself. Peg: Black and blue toes...doesn't sound very nice. But 75 pairs of sandals...I'm going to tell dh that so he can't complain about my 4 pair. Mary Kay...glad to hear the vacation was a success. Biking sounds fun...wish I could get the lock off mine. That was the most stupid thing I've done in a long time...putting a combo lock on my bike and losing the combo! Brenda: A new job and a cold at the same time...now that was timing girl! lol Sorry I can't talk to each of you...but I'm busier than a one armed paper hanger...gotta run.

| Good afternoon! Poor Bob is still in the hospital. Early this AM, he had another bout of chills and light vomiting. SIGH. I rushed there and just got back. He is feeling better and was able to hold down some lunch. He did have a heart echo test right there in the hospital room. No word on that. So -- maybe home tomorrow? I'll call him tonight and again in the AM. If he's feeling OK, I'll go into work and if he's to come home, he can call me. I also found out his insurance is not as bad as I thought. $165/day co-pay for hospital visits for five days. If he's there longer, no co-pay! And no other bill! Gotta love that medicare. BUT, he's off work and I took off two days so far. Gotta keep some $$ coming in. Donna, I am so glad you had a great time! Somebody left a gift of weights on your front steps? Wow. That is weird/wonderful! XXOO

| Good morning....everyone must be sleeping in here! lol It's cool and cloudy here today. That's okay, we don't get to go to the ballgame tonight anyway. After firing the young fellow that blew 2 shifts on the weekend, dh has to work from 7 this morning until 11 tonight. I sure hope he finds a replacement soon, before he gets burned out. Shopping after work for me for the supplies to make the steak BBQ dinner at the Legion on Friday night. I don't know why I'm so nervous about this dinner, but I am. I've cooked for weddings and big birthday dinners before and it didn't bother me. Maybe cause I didn't have to do it on a workday? Who knows! Sora goes back to the vet again this morning. Her eyes are bad again! Last night she actually walked right into a closed door. This is the 3rd time I've had her there for the same thing and they keep telling me she's fine. Well...she's not. She has a cloudy look to one eye and it's constantly infected. This time I'm going to get a little demanding. Every time I walk in the door it's $58.00 and I'm not getting any satisfaction. Poor little girl goes outside and tries to rub her eyes in the rocks and dirt. A mommy knows when something isn't right with her baby. Right, Shell? No exercise last night...the knees are just starting to get back to normal with no pain. Tonight I might try my new exercise video. Okay, off to work. Sorry this is all about me....I'm so busy at work.

| HI gang! Alida, sure hope Bob can come home today. I know it's so worrisome on many levels. Hugs! Peg, great news that your feet are heeling/healing nicely Yup, I'd ask for a rebate from the doc if you don't look positively fantabulous in your stappies. May the writing muse visit.Bert, your MOM bought biker shorts? For you or for her Donna, sounds like a great weekend. Anything to do with getting a little sun sounds good to me. Mysterious packages? Wow Shelley, how's the bike b*tt I shouldn't laugh--I haven't done anything but 'round the block yet this year.Heather, I imagine thunderstorms are quite impressive when they do happen in your area. Enjoy! MK, welcome home. Hope you're feeling perkier after some time away. Judy, Sus, big waves! I'm still hacking but not feverish (not often, anyway), so it appears I'll be getting over this whatever-it-is. Meanwhile, I have been trying to keep up with what I can, including you, my buds.

| well, biking for me isn't much exercise, Just hauling my big butt up on the Harley. But it is fun - and it is getting 'tighter' there - so good incentive. work is picking up again - which is good. Had a couple slow weeks pre-vacation and although I like the peace - I don't like the lack of $$ coming in. I like challenges - and these new ones are some fun ones to resolve. I hope Bob gets home and progresses quickly (and they figure out what is going on). day 4 on plan - one day at a time - YAY

| You would think I would get sick of Salvation Army but they had a 50% off everything sale today. I had to be there! Got myself some shorts for summer, another purse, tops, perfect condition stuffed animal kangaroo with baby inside pouch for nieces birthday, a cute skirt for her as well, toy for the 3 kids, hair bands for working and a hair dryer I needed. Spent $13. Woo hoo! Tonight I have nursery duty. Hope to have this little boy that I just love there. I can't wait until he is old enough to be in my Sunday School class with the other 2-3 year olds. - Donna - Your poor DH!! My own DH has the "Big Corporate Bosses" coming in this week so he has been at work without a day off this week. Got to love our men who work hard to take care of their ladies right? / Hope Sora gets that fixed. - Shelley - I know!! My calender is full of appointments for all of us. I have a deep conditioning treatment scheduled in 6 weeks. We just need to do something at the salon to pamper ourselves. - Brenda - Take care!! I heard that it is a myth that when you can't have dairy products when you are coughing. Apparently it's been studied and didn't effect people one way or another. - MaryKay - Congrats on 4 days in!!! Woo hoo!!! |
