Kitty Protein Power: Intervention 1

Well....
the best intentions often get way-layed, and that's exactly what happen to me today. But, honesty is the best policy when it comes to counting carbs, protein, fat and calories. I mean, you could lie about it and say you ate perfectly on plan, but your body/metabolism knows differently!!!
So, with that tid-bit of information out in the open...I can NOT tell a lie and say Sunday, June 1st, my purrrrrfect day to start a diet went totally as planned.

A little bump in the road called a dinner date with my hubby to a new restaurant we've been dying to try, occured.
Soooooo, long story short....a perfect Protein Power day didn't happen!

today's #s:
  • 1183 cal
  • 66g fat
  • 75g pro...not enough
  • 71g carb
  • 15g fiber
  • 56g net carb... TO MUCH!!!
No guilt....movin' on.

Hey Bren and Dix,
Bren, ...thanks! Today was a little better. LOL!

Dix...yes, I did PP back in 2004, I think...maybe the end of 2003. I like the simplicity of it and also being able to have some different choices in the Intervention 1 phase....which is 30 carbs per day or less. So far, I haven't been able to whittle down my carb counts quite that low, dang it!!!
But, I've lost a few pounds; granted they were ones that have been lost before, but it's some downward motion, and that's a good thing!

today's #s:
  • 1253 calories
  • 57g fat
  • 101g pro
  • 75g carb
  • 30g fiber
  • 45g net carb.....
I'll get there....not quitin'...not givin' up...not givin' in...it's OK to focus on one day at a time...the goal line is still there...I can still make it, it just may be in smaller increments!

walked 60 min/3.37 miles/203 cal burn

today's take...not particulary on target carb-wise, , but calorically speaking, it's OK, I guess. sigh.

1324 cal
81g fat
77g pro...may have a piece of cheese before 7P to boost the pro a bit
72g carb
16g fiber
56g net...crum!

walked 54 min/3.32 miles/182 cal burn

today's take:
1282 calories
81g fat
90g pro
62g carb
20g fiber
42g net carb

I re-calculated metabolism, activity levels, set a new goal and time line in fitday. Also checked caloric requirements on Real-Age. To lose at the rate of 1 lb per week, 1250 calories will do it. Factor in my near daily walking, and I'm a little disappointed I'm not losing better. sigh. I think at this point, I'm averaging only about a third of a pound a week! That stinks! I've been maintaining since last October! blech! I want to get the weight loss going again, dangit!!!

exercise day off today for muscle rest.
back to it tomorrow, though!

Trying to turn over a new leaf here, and pay MORE attention to what I'm doing!
Today's number's are much better...finally!
Now, I did NOT walk or bike today because of the dang wind!(25-30mph with gusts of 40-45mph!). I'm sick to death of the d*mn wind...enough already! Turn the wind machine off, please....and thank you!

today's #'s
  • 1129 calories
  • 67g fat
  • 97g pro
  • 40g carb
  • 13g fiber
  • 27g net carb
My throat feels a little scratchy...blah! Hopefully it's just allergies since the whole state of Texas has been blown north upon us! har! Took a Claritin, so hoping that will do the trick.
I plan to sleep in tomorrow morning(well, at least til maybe 07 or so), then walk if the weather is good.

over and out.......

got my focus back...so far, so good!
After being UP a pound this morning, I know my wicked ways last night were the reason...har!
how sad is it that a stinkin' bowl of raisin bran with soy milk would make the scale go up? Pretty d*mn sad!
Anyhoo, today's #s:
1383 cak
91g fat
104g pro
43 carb
11g fiber
32g net carb

walked 60 min/3.51 miles/199 cal burn
lips will be zipped after dinner! One protein snack at 8P, and that's it!
I read another article re: PP, and it said in the intervention I phase, as much as 40 carbs were allowed. As bad as I hate to say it, I think I maintain at anything over 40, and don't really lose.
I am doing strick tracking; not one crumb in the mouth that's not accounted for. I would like to find the *magic* number for sure instead of guessing. Just my OC-ness! har!
