Default August Tracking for Vets

Okay, you guys, this one is for tracking. I use Diet Power. Some of the other of us use Fitday. I need to write it down or else I lose track of what I have eaten. Also, it helps me to see the calories and the carbs all in one place. I don't necessarily LIKE it, but well, there it is. The other "tracking" thread by Shelley is the one we all go to every day. However, you are welcome to post your numbers here without comment from each other except encouragement! (my rules )

Yesterday, 8/4/08

Carbs: 42.4
Fiber: 7.4
Net: 35 g 14%
Fat: 49%
Prot: 22%
Alcohol: 14%

Tracking and accountability --- recommended by Beck and determined by me to be a successful strategy "when" I did it. Today's number (the best in a long time)

Tuesday 8/5

Calories: 1142
Fat: 71 gm
Carbs: Total 41 - 6 fiber = 35 gm net
Protein: 83 gm
Weight: 160.5

Okay, here is yesterday's numbers:

Calories 1686
Carbs 25-4= 21 net 6%
Protein 18%
Fat 63%
Alcohol 13%
Weight: 200.6


As I remember Atkins, I think I need to come up on the Protein so that the fat and protein are closer to the same number. Carbs are good though.

Calories 1347
Carbs: 87-19= 68 net 24%
Prot: 33g 9%
Fat: 52%
Alcohol: 15%
Weight: 200.4

Don't know why the alcohol registers more. I had a whole two ounces more than yesterday. Dang it. Oh well, I'm not going to stress it.

79g pro
65g carb
15g fiber
50g net carb this needs to come down fer shure!!

I will work on NOT eating while watching TV. This will be a major victory if I can pull it off!

Next mini goal weight is 154. ETA is on or before the end of September.

Oh Shel, I'm so glad that you joined us! Whooppee!!

Here are my numbers from yesterday:

Calories: 1078
Carbs: 30g 11%
Protein: 21%
Fat: 44%
Alcohol: 24% (This is my two glasses of wine in the pm)
Weight: 198.4 First time under 200 for me in months!

I'm feeling pretty good about the carbs. But, I think I need to still bring up my Protein. I'm getting enough fat, but think it should balance out with the Protein.

  • 30g fiber
  • 46g net carb
I would say a good 15-20 gms of todays carbs are from FRESH blueberries and strawberries. Also got a new product(new to me anyway) called Fiber-sure.
It has 6g carbs and 5g fiber per 1 heaping tsp. It's inulin fiber, clear, colorless, tasteless and totally dissolves in liquid. I'm really trying to make an effort to take in more fiber. I used 2 tsp today. Hmmmm....guess we'll see how it works out

Carbs: Total 46 - 13 fiber = 33 gm net
Protein: 74 gm
Weight: 160.5

Well, looks like that new goal got a little further away, and the first goal is still not locked up. Today I ate more calories and fewer carbs. We'll see how things work out tomorrow.

Carbs: 40g a little high
Fat: 62g
Pro: 92g
Alcohol: 0.9 ozs
Water: 51 ozs. (I did have some water. Forgot)

Weight this morning (8/9/08) 199.8.

Little more than a pound in gain. I'll be a little more diligent on the water. I'm getting plenty of fat, and it should be flushed out, I think.

  • 1338 cal
  • 75g fat
  • 89g pro
  • 93g carb...berries and the fiber-sure stuff
  • 40g fiber
  • 53g net carb
walked 55 min/3.36 miles/186 cal burn
mowed + yard work for 1 hour 20 min, 391 cal burn
for a total of 577 activity calories burned (not to mention STBO!!! ack!)

Peg and Judy...you goils are rockin' it!!!
