Thumbs up January Journal of Accountability and Maintenance

It's time to make good on those resolutions for the new year. My resolution is to continue tracking what I eat and how much I exercise (walk) so that I can get this maintenance thing perfected for good. I do not want to do the backslide again. Feel free to join in. Track what you want, using the program you want. Tell as much or as little as you want. You can do it!!

well, shoot!...I thought I posted my #s last evening, but guess I didn't. sheesh!

anyhoo...at this time, I'm trying to be mindful of my calorie intake; not tracking due to computer inconvience...
but, I will be walking each day I can; January is fickle in OOOOklahoma...har!

yesterday:
walked: 110 min/ 6.70 miles/ 372 cal burn/ 14,165 steps
today:
walked 63 min/ 3.92 miles/8292 steps/hobby lobby steps= 1899

total January fitness miles = 10.62 miles

wt up 1 lb dang it!
onward.

This is my first attempt to get back in the groove. Today's numbers are pretty rough estimates. I haven't tracked food or steps since last weekend. Tomorrow I'll check the weight on the "real" scales. I hope it is kind to me. Although my eating was better this week than it was last week, I can't say it was great by any means.

Carbs: Total 112 - 11 fiber = 101 gm net
Protein: 65 gm

Back to work.............. I have tons of things to do, and only about 24 hours left to get them done.

for 1-5-09: walked 1 hr/ 3.78 miles/210 cal burn
for 1-6-09: walked 69 min/ 4.31 miles/239 cal burn
total fitness miles walked to date for January = 18.71 miles

not doing so hot on the mindful and appropriate eating; that will start full tilt next Monday, the 12th!

I'm trying to do the mindful and appropriate eating thing. I really need to be more mindful of appropriate portion size and not eating seconds!

I got to walk today, too! We were only able to get in about 40 minutes. I wish the weather would continue to cooperate.... and it's gradually staying light a little longer.

It was another good day. We went the full 3 mile route this afternoon. It really does a lot for my attitude to get out for 45 minutes or an hour.

Hummm, yesterday's calories seemed high, today's seem low. Oh well, it's the results that count. I was BUSY today. New floors = lots of cleaning!

I'm further from goal than 3 months ago...grrrr!
But, as of today, I'm back on track...and no lookin' back!(sorry, couldn't resist )


today's numbers:
  • 1221 cal
  • 91g fat
  • 71g pro
  • 26g carb
  • 7g fiber...whooaa...not enough!
  • 19g net carb
walked: 68 min/ 4.21 miles/ 234 cal burn
total fitness miles walked in January = 35.22 miles
