OK, guys.........
how cute is this little guy???? LOL!

long story short...DD's boss bought a Llama a few months ago...just because...he thinks they are cute. Time goes by...nothing new...Llama looks like she is getting nice and fat.....hmmmm.
The boss's wife calls him at work last Friday and says...."Surprise!!!" and proceeds to tell him that she just happen to look outside in the direction of the animal pens, and couldn't believe her eyes...at the very moment, "the baby" was being born! So, now there are 2 llamas!

The End.

Good morning. Shelley, that baby is just gorgeous. We have a few llama farms around here...love to look at them, but I don't want to get too close. Don't they spit?

Last night we took my youngest grandson to dh's ballgame. But, it was soooo cold the two of us ended up sitting in the car for the whole game. He had a terrible cough last week and I didn't want to be responsible for it coming back. The whole time we were waiting all he could talk about was the fact that we were taking him to McDonalds. At 4 years old, he could give me directions to the closest one. Tells me that his family must eat there a lot. After the game was over he told his Poppa that he'd better "step on it, cause McDonald's might close!" I have no idea where this little guy gets his language from, even his parents say they didn't tell him things he comes up with. But, he cracks me up. Poor little guy fell asleep in the car on the way home...but he had his McDonalds first.

Dh bought me two gorgeous hanging baskets...purple petunias. But, it's too cold to put them outside. So, I have them on the kitchen table. Maybe he'll get the hint that I don't want to cook? lol This weather has got to change soon. I think I usually have my flowers planted by now. Sure wouldn't want to do that now...they would be dead in no time.

Well, I have invoices waiting for me...lucky me. Have a good day everyone!

Just a fly-by. I'm off to Louisville on Friday for a wedding. My iPhone will pick up messages, but the keyboard and screen are way too tiny to write long messages. So...I'll be back here on Tuesday or so.

Donna, I'd like to send you some warm weather. Soon it will be HOT, right?

Donna, it's good to have you back regularly. I still check in every morning to see if anyone has posted early. Now, it's generally evening when I find the new posts for the day.

Only 14 more school days. This group of seniors needs to move on. They have been a trial all the way around.

Just thought I would check in. I lurk , but just don't have much to say.
New house is still just PERFECT. I love it here. We have now rented out both sides of the old place - one to my future SIL (crossing fingers), one to a coworker of DH who needed a place and is also a very handyman type. There were just still some things I was being picky about (perfectionist) and having a hard time starting to look for tenants. This works - we gave him a break on the rent for 3 months, then he will be paying what I wanted. So, good news there.

Work is extremely slow - doing contract work is scary in these times too - slow work = slow pay. lots of projects on hold at my clients. But we are good. Although it does seem to be bothering me subconsciously - I have like 3 cold sores on my lips - usually a sign of stress.

I joined WW with a friend. Never had a buddy doing it before - the switch just seems to have gone last week. Been going for a couple months, but never serious about it. But, last week started walking and sticking to it. I can do this. (if it wasn't for the buddy, I probably would not have stuck it out)

love the countdown Judy - I have nothing but respect for teachers. You do an amazing job with what you are given.
It sounds like all of you are keeping busy and living life to its fullest.
Hugs all around.

Well, the exact count as of today is 13 more "school" days - one early release day, - 3 days for exams, - the Sr. picnic, - one day the Srs. are excused for us to finish grades........ I think (hope) I can make it.

Happy Birthday Alida....and Happy Mother's Day to all.

Not much going on here. Just about bedtime...why is it the weekends go so fast and the work week drags?

Only 4 more work days for me and then we are off for a week. My printer at work died on Thursday as I was trying to print invoices. Boss showed up on Friday and his solution was to hook up the old printer...the one with only one wheel to pull the paper through. I had to stand beside it and catch each paper as it came through or it would flip sideways and end up behind the computer. It's so slow it took over an hour to print 159 invoices. I was furious..but he can put up with it when I'm gone. I can't believe he can put out $8000 to get renos done on his bathroom and I have to put up with junk to work with. I can't even use the fax machine as a printer cause the cd driver on the computer died too. Urgggghhhh.

Mothers day was okay. I really don't like special occasions like this cause I always hope that maybe one day my kids will do something special and they never do. They both phoned...but no card or anything. Ds went to his in-laws...who knows what dd was doing. It's just another day.

But, it was a gorgeous sunny day outside. Dh brought the motorhome here and we started packing it for the weekend. The dogs went nuts when they saw it. I had to watch Lily closely cause she will try to force her chubby body between the gate and the gatepost so she can run and get into the motorhome. The dog sure loves to travel.

Tomorrow I will be taking my Tia to the vet. I'm pretty sure I know what the vet will tell me and I'm not looking forward to it. His face is so swollen on one side that his eye is just about shut. But, he won't stop eating and purring. I wish dh would step up and do this...but I know he won't. Tia has always come to me for cuddles and sleeping on my lap so I guess I should be the one to take him in. I'll let you know what happens. *sigh* I'm sure not looking forward to tomorrow.

I'm off to get ready for bed... talk to you all soon.

Monday morning.
First to you, dear Donna. What a sad day to anticipate. I'm so very sorry. But love has the privilege of offering mercy and peace, and you more than anyone know what it means to love. I'll be thinking of you.

Alida, hope you had a lovely birthday, and Mother's Day honors as well. You've been a caregiver for an extended family, and deserve a world of appreciation.

I learn a lot in this discussion about the vicissitudes of motherhood--and I congratulate you all! I was explaining to a friend the other day that "cuteness" in animals (human and otherwise) is Mother Nature's method of preserving their little lives.

The trip to Louisville was delightful--except for the drive over on Friday. Nine hours (500 plus miles) in pouring rain. I never saw so much water come down from the sky--and up from the pavement. We encountered three accidents on the interstate. The bride was blessed, however, with a brilliantly clear evening on Saturday, for her outdoor wedding. Don't you suppose some of that water on Friday was her tears of supplication?? It worked.

I met my friend's circle of best buddies from college and their wives, and fell right in step.

All the good low-carb work I started a couple months ago has gone for naught. I feel like the Pillsbury doughboy. Time to get my head together again.

Judy, still counting down with you!

Wishing everyone a good week.
