Good morning everyone!

I hope you have a safe and happy holiday weekend! I am off today and need to work on taxes. Joy!

Yesterday, Brenda and I had a fun evening. We went to a bead store in Oak Park. (we found some cool stuff!) Brenda is always looking for beads with large holes. I found some beautiful labadorite beads. (It's kind of like moonstone, with a blue glow. Moonstone has a white background, labadorite has a grey background) We first stopped to pick up something Alice (Paleofornow) had ordered for me from her co-op. We had dinner (at Chipotle) and went to our bead society meeting. There was a very personable speaker last night.

I wish you a happy day!

Thank you Deb, I recieve that blessing!

I'm on program so far. I'm hoping to "eat clean" for a while. I've not really been paying much attention to what I've been eating. Last I had checked I'd dropped a couple of pounds, but I'm hoping that now this major stress is mostly behind us, that I can start losing again...

Ilse, it just ain't fair! There are so many of you in Chicago!!!!! NO ONE lives in WA :o

Made some Atkins Quick Cuisine blueberry muffins last night and added some real blueberries. Awesome!! But in true addict form, I ate 10!!! Dang!
Back on track again today.

Monica welcome back. Sharron my thoughts are with you as you struggle with your family issues.

Blessed Good Friday to all!

I've been REALLY busy this week. Today I am trying to write an Easter sermon . We always work a week or so ahead. As you can see I am a little behind. At least tonight is done and only to attend (and do).

We have friends coming for the weekend and I am so excited to see them! They will be here tomorrow afternoon and leave Monday. They live in NJ. We've been getting together for holidays for a number of years.

I got new drapes that I am trying to find time to hang before they get here. We'll see. I'm really bone aching tired. I've been getting enough sleep, I think. I feel refreshed when I get up. But, it doesn't last all day. I think it's just the stress of this week and life in general.

Speaking of the life in general issues, my DD is interviewing in SoCA this weekend. I'm delighted! The job is a Dir of Development at a kids museum. She could hire her own staff. Sounds really good. And, it's in the same town that her ex works. The gkids will have both Mom and Dad to raise them after all. Yay! They, the gkids, are really acting out right now. I'm distressed at the amount of yelling my dd does to them while I'm on the phone. Hoping that all their lives will calm down soon.

Well, dh is gone washing my car, and i'm sitting here at this computer supposedly doing the writing I need to do for Sunday. Hopefully, I will get some inspiration real soon.

Peace, Peg

Blessed Good Friday to you, too, Peg! Will keep your DD and her children in my prayers.

Doing well here. Today's a fasting day. Will be having fish for dinner.

Gregg, good for you for getting right back on track!

Connie, will keep you and your family in my prayers for safe travel.

Sharron, glad to hear that things went well and are getting better. Will continue to pray.

Ilse, good luck with your taxes. We need to do the finishing touches on ours this weekend as well.

Deb, thanks for the good wishes.

Have a great weekend, everybody!

Yea!

I am finally done with my taxes. I didn't stop a lot, except to put away some winter clothes. I popped out for some fast food too. Couldn't deal with cooking. I still have a lot of picking up to do to get ready for company on Sunday.

My DD called this morning, sounding all worried that she was having cramping in her lower back. (she is about 7 months PG) She went to her doctor. They told her to take it easy this weekend, but didn't put her on bed-rest at this point. She has her regular doctor's appointment early next week. She was put on bed-rest with her previous pregnancy. When I talked to her, she was on her way home with her son to relax.

Hello All!

Ilse, I hope everything goes well for your daughter. My oldest DD was put on bed rest with her first one and given a drug to stop contractions. She ended up going a week over and the baby weighed 9 lb. 9oz. and had to be delivered by C-section. Her next 2 were smaller and easier on her.

Sharon, I finally bought some cook books and one of them was your Extreme LC. I have decided I have to cook (even though I hate to :cook: ) to put some variety in my meals. I just received them today and I just glanced through your book. It did seem like you have some delicious foods in there. I will probably make a pest out of myself asking you questions.

Peg, I hope you have everything ready for Sunday. You will get the drapes up. I tend to work best under pressure.

Hello Gregg!

I hope everyone has a nice Sat. The weather forecast is not good for the weekend. It has been sunny and warm, but it is suppose to start raining and be in the 50s & 40s .

Ilse-- Best wished to your daughter. I have known five people that have been put to bed rest just this school year alone. They seem to be much more conscious of problems these days.

I hope all of you have had a blessed day. I have been totally lazy and did only a small amount of house work and cooking. DH was bitten by a wasp about an hour ago and has had a reaction to it. I'm afraid to leave or get too involved with other things right now. I gave him some Benedryl and it seems to be helping some. He has never had a reaction before, but accidently set his hand down right on top of the wasp. He got a full force sting. At this time of the year, they are always more potent, too.

Have a good weekend everyone. Peg, I'm sure you got inspiration for a great sermon. I know you will be glad for some rest next week.
