Hi all you lazy (or maybe busy) people. I can't believe that I am the thread started for Monday. I hope you all had a great holiday.

We are out of school today. It's the last day off before the big haul until the end of school. Our kids finish on the Friday before Memorial Day. I'll have the Monday off and then start summer school on Tues. June 1. At least my summer school class is a cram class -- two weeks of 8 hour days and it's over. If I have a group like I had last summer, this may be the last time I do this!

We are having what I hope is our last cold snap. It seems that we always get one at Easter. The high temp today is supposed to be only in the 50's. Of course, I just put all my plants outside. I'm sure they are not very happy about the cold rain. From here on, the temps will start upward.

DH got stung by a wasp Friday night. I nealy had to take him to the hospital. We did end up having to call the doctor on Saturday. His hand was so swolen that it looked like it would explode. He is now taking a round of steriods. They have really helped. Watch out for those red devils. They are potent in the spring.

Have a good day, and to use Steve's (finzup) line..... Stay the course!

Hi Judy!

I'm still recovering from yesterday's "killer" day for me! We had weekend company (old friends) and that was really nice. But, now I have big dishes to do, and a guest room to clean up. I may just close the door on it until we have guests again!

Sorry that dh had such trouble with that danged wasp! But glad the steroids are helping.

DD is in SoCA today interviewing for a new job there. She took her 'new" bf with her. Kids are in Pittsburg with their "other" gparents. (They have 3! )
My dgdaughter has learned how to use IM'ing. It's so delightful to get a message from her and know that she is there! She is 10 and in 5th grade. Heard from 5 of our 6 yesterday. Some hints from others that son 2 may have gotten engaged over the weekend. Because we didn't hear from him (unusual) we are excited and delighted to find out. He is 42 and has never been married.

My eating yesterday was totally "out of control." Well....maybe not totally, but certainly not restrained. I didn't weigh this morning, but was dismayed to find that a pair of pants that were tight last summer are too big now. I hope that I am not out of everything I bought last summer!

Isn't it kind of amazing that what seems "heavy" now was a goal sought last year? I lose track of what I weighed when. Anyway, enough ruminations for now.

Where's Deb?

Peace, Peg

Peg, congratulations on shrinking out of last summer's clothes. If you use fitday online, you can go back in the reports and see what your progress has been. You can also go back to specific dates and see exactly where you were on that date. Of course, that all is possible if you have put the numbers in ...................... That is the one thing that I absolutely do track everyday now. I may not get the food in, but I do get that daily weight monitored.

I'm off to do some alterations on some summer clothes myself. DMIL gave me a beautiful silk pant suit yesterday that needs the hem let out of the pants. I have some capris that need to be taken up, and another couple of things that need the sides taken in. It seems that when I do sew now, it's primarily alterations. Oh, but I am not sad to be doing them instead of sewing something new, that's for sure.

Hi,

It felt like we had a busy weekend, even though we were home a lot. We pooped out to the supermarket on Saturday. We were going to go to the movies, but I think my DH decided it was better to do stuff at home.

Sunday afternoon, we had my parents and my DH, SIL, and grandson over. My grandson told us the Easter Bunny had left candy at his house. He started looking for candy at our house, but we didn't have any. Dinner was good. Not much in the way of leftovers. Not LC.

I tried my first Zone bar. It was better than some others I have tried.

Wishing you a happy day.

Hello, everyone! Hope you all had a good weekend. Had a nice one around here. Did pretty good with eating, too.

Yesterday I was able to wear a dress that I haven't for a long time. I must admit... I looked pretty darn good! (felt good, too):hot: ...and my 2-year old DD said the same. That's pretty good coming from her. Normally she points at me and says "funny".

Got taxes finished up yesterday afternoon! Woohoo! That's a load off my mind.

Last night at about 10:30pm we had blowing snow... outta nowhere. Woke up to 2 inches (or so) on the ground this morning... looked beautiful.

Have a great day, everyone!

Hi everyone

I honestly can't remember when I posted last in here, so if I repeat myself, forgive me...

We had a big meeting last Thursday about our "issue." We heard back Saturday that with just a bit of procedure the matter will be put to rest. For that I am thankful. It is not over, but it is close. If you've been praying for us, I continue to appreciate it...

I've not been eating great. Several meals were not LC last week with the trip to Seattle and then at friends yesterday. Today I am on track. I've eaten well... even think I might have ketosis going on!

I started back in walking again this morning. I'm going to do Body Flex still, but just enough to "set" my back in the morning and then do my weights. I have the opposite problem as Peg -- with all that has gone on this last year + I'm having troubles fitting my clothes! I simply refuse to buy anymore! I'm planning being moderately strict with the carbs and exercising faithfully. As someone pointed out to me, the exercise will help with the stress.

Have a nice rest of the day everyone.

Hello All! Today was my first day back at school. I could have used another day off. Judy, our last day is (now) May 26. The kids get out on the 24th and we have 2 days of inservice meetings. Hopefully, it will become work days and I can get everything ready for the summer. I am not teaching summer school this year. With teaching that and going to a couple of conferences last year it felt like I did not have a summer. Now that I have the GC full time I wouldn't really be able to afford to work and pay a sitter.

Peg, I can just say I wish I had your problem . Like Sharon, I am afraid I am going in the opposite direction. I keep having these bad moments when I really crave HC foods. I know it is stress and my nerves. I remember when I first started and we were so close together in losing weight. Hopefully, I will get my head on straight and join you again.

My SIL's cancer surgery has been moved up to this Friday. Please keep us in your thoughts and prayers. The oncologist told him that he has performed this surgery on 100 people and 50 of them are still living. The 50 who have passed have been older. Hopefully his age will work toward his advantage. It is very scary.

HI All,

Looks like I took the weekend off!

Susan, I was thinking about you and your family. I hope all will be well for your DSIL. You, too, Sharron, you know my thoughts are with you.

Peg, whew! Hope you can get in some down time now that Easter is over.

Judy, enjoy your last day before the big push, and I hope your DH's hand is recovering. We don't have any active insects to speak of here, except for the box elder beetles trying to come inside by the hundreds....

Debby, congrats on lookin' good! Sorry about that snow, though...Hey,

Ilse, sounds like a lovely Easter dinner.

See you all later,

Other than Easter, our weekend project was re-arranging and cleaning out the garage. One of those things that was long past due....but our village has an annual "clean up" day next Saturday, where the waste haulers will pick up "stuff" for free they normally wont't touch, so we wanted to get all our "donations" ready. It's almost embarassing the amount of miscellaneous junk that gets accumulated in a year.

I'm doing mysteriously well and on plan .
