Good morning everyone!

I had every intention of being OP. I bought take-out and made a bad choice of what to eat. I think gyros are much higher in carbs than I thought. I can't get fit day to come up and see if they have information about it. Oh well, a new day!

Yesterday, my DH called and said he needed his birth certificate to travel into Canada. I found a photocopy. He thought it best to have a certified copy. I have one somewhere, but haven't thought about it for years, so I drove out to a county clerk's office and got a new one for my DH, my DD, me, our marriage certificate, and my DD's marriage certificate. They wouldn't let me get my grandson's birth certificate. I also stopped at Trader Joe's for a couple of things and headed home (and to get the gyros).

Went up in weight today. Has to be water weight....

I wish you all a happy day!

Hi there~! Today will be better Ilse!
I had lunch yesterday with a friend I'm dietting with. I'm very proud to say I didn't let anyone elses choices sway me. I told her flat out I refuse to be flabby but you can have some! It kind of hard because I love her dearly. We are both counting carbs but she thinks lots of sugar is ok or white flour if it fits in the carb count. I think it's not(especially since I'm dm2). I think the reason people do that sometimes though is if I eat bad too it makes him/her feel better about doing it. Make sense?

Hello, ladies! I haven't posted here much (especially lately), but just wanted to drop in and tell you my news... I'm pregnant. Found out Sunday morning, and the due date will most likely be between 12/31/2004 and 1/3/2005. So... now I need to figure out how to eat... and I need to mentally switch gears from "losing" mode to pregnancy mode. Don't want to gain too much weight this time... hopefully only 30 pounds (or less).

I'm already better off than last time. I was 175 when I got pregnant with DD and gained 40 pounds that pregnancy. Tried to "eat healthy", but ate too much junk. It's so easy to fall into the "but I'm pregant" mindset, even though we all know that junk isn't what's best for the growing baby. Anyway, this time I'm starting off 19 pounds lighter at 156. So, that's a good thing.

Not sure how to change/adapt CALP for pregnancy. Anyone got any ideas? I will talk to my OB about it, but don't know how much support I'll get since I'm with Kaiser. Although, he had said it was okay to do CALP while TTC. Called their infoline yesterday for pregnancy nutrition and they recommend the food pyramid. Get this - here's their serving recommendation... 4 dairy, minimum 2 protien (can't believe it's that low!), 5 fruits/veggies, and 7 grains/breads (yikes!). I know that's probably not the best for me while pregnant.

I've read from you all how maintenance can be a struggle, and I imagine pregnancy-eating will be similar (if not harder). So, if you don't mind... I might still check in here from time to time for support. You all are a wonderful bunch of people... so supportive!

I think I did pretty well with my eating yesterday and got in a 35 min. brisk walk pushing DD in stroller. Went to bed hungry, but too tired to get up and get a snack. Woke up ravenously hungry this morning (which was weird because the past 2 days I haven't been that hungry in the morning). Still drinking my water so now instead of having to "go potty" (remember I have a 2 yr old ) every hour, it's every half hour (at least right now). Fun, fun!

I would like to ask you to pray for me for a safe and healthy pregnancy and a healthy baby.

Congratulations Debby!!! You might check the women's forum for some suggestions on pregnancy. One of the moderators, Summer, just had a baby. She will be a huge support. Of course we will all want you to keep checking in here to keep us up on the progress. Try to remember protein, veggies, and water........

Thanks, Judy! I've checked out the Pregnancy thread and already posted in there. What is it they say... great minds think alike.
