I'm responding to your invitation up there in OWL. I'm nearing 18 months on Atkins, and maintaining. I'm a bit heavier than my original goal, but I'm at a long-standing "set point" weight, and not very concerned about the last ten pounds. For me, maintaining without obsessing is a very important achievement.

And that's why I like low-carbing. I'm eating in a satisfying way, never feeling deprived, staying on track--in short, just living my life.

I'm totally committed to daily exercise, which is the other "secret" of weight maintenance, not to mention eternal youth. : )

Welcome to the Vet forum. You will find both a tracking thread and generally a daily thread. Feel free to jump in on either--- at 18 months and nearing goal, you definitely qualify. Don't get discouraged that we are a really random group. Sometimes there are lots of posts, and sometimes you may feel like you are talking to yourself. The current tracking thread is titled "May Tracking." Come on in.
