Exclamation *****hey Vets, Whaddaya Think?*****

Lately there hasn't been a lot of traffic volume on our daily threads. Poor Ilse and Deb--they valiently start the thread, but sometimes they're talking to themselves waiting for the rest of us to show up!

So there's been a little talk among us (thank you, Judy, LOL!) that it might be more workable to go to a weekly thread instead. That way, there is the possibility of more responses to individual posts, and a better continuity of converation. (And less guilt for me if I forget to check in every day:silly: )

What do you all think??? Would you like to give a weekly thread a shot, starting tomorrow????

Only speaking for myself, I tend to read posts with a specific topic. I rarely read posts listed with just a date or journal entries. I realize they may be just as entertaining and informative, but I'm simply not drawn to those types of heading topics.

I'd like to participate more, though.

Whatever works for everyone else works for me. I do find it disquieting sometimes to hear from no-one. But, at times I am lax in writing something too.

Yes, I'd be more likely to be involved. I mostly only reply to a thread I'm already in, so the daily ones... I just never get to them.

I'm participating more on the boards again. If there was a weekly thread, I'd be more likely to join in.

Deb, A true southner says "Y'all" . You can still count yourself as a transplant.

So, here's my on LC topic comment of the morning......

Today I bought some LC fruit spread (jam) made by Keto. Normally I wouldn't have spent $5+ for a little jar, but it was half price. I brought it home, spread it and some peanut butter on half of a LC Mission tortilla and had a peanut butter and jelly sandwich. Oh my gosh!!! it was wonderful. Do you remember when you were a kid and smashed the white bread flat? Or when your sandwich had been "smushed" in your lunch box? Awww, nostalgia........ I can tell that I'm going to have to go easy on this stuff. It's something I like and it's expensive! I'll have to spread it thin.

Off LC topic.......... check out this page http://www.talltimbershome.com/ . I built it yesterday for a friend. I think I'm going to try to drum up some more pages like this to make a little extra spending cash.

Great idea, BC!! I'll join. It's hard to be concise, humorous, and pithy EVERY day! Easier once a week or so.

I'm a newbie here and still trying to get it figured out.
Do you have to 'join' a group to participate? Is there an instruction page?
I'm enjoying the notes posted here but would like to join in.
Some of this is really helpful, some funny, some inspiring.
I was 213 at the beginning, down to 206 this am.

Welcome, Bill.

You can join in anywhere, by adding a post, as you've done here. You might also want to start a thread in the Newbie section to introduce yourself.

Either way, I hope you'll make yourself at home.
