Quick drive-by to say hi! It's a beautiful day, and I'm spending most of it in the yard...

Deb, I hope your work on the new office is coming along faster and better than DD's job hunt. Another day, and still no call. We are making progress on getting her stuff back here from her college living arrangement and getting repacked and staged for eventually moving to a place of her own. I'm afraid that all this will probably come together like the "perfect storm". We are having a small family reunion for about a dozen people on July 3, she'll get a job, need to move out, move home, and move to Dallas, all between June 30 and July 5. She's a little over an hour from us, and we are 2.5 hours frm Dallas. Oh well, uncertainity must be good for something..............

Hi Mick!

Judy, this must be one of the harder parts of parenting, too--getting them transitioned and on their own. Whew.

Agreed!! This is the second and last time that we are going through this. Child #1 had a long story and his own "perfect storm", too.

Hi All!

Just pulling up here at the campfire instead of starting to paint moulding downstairs prior to carpet laying on Monday. Painters I contacted didn't respond with either an estimate or even a courtesy call to say they are too busy!! Dang!! So, I'm having a little g&t (with diet tonic) and finding ways I can put off going into the basement.

I called my best friend in CA last night just to talk. DD giving me tiny fits right now and I needed to vent. SO good to have all you and her too. I absolutely hate that we are three hours different in time zones. but, that's the way it is!

Today has NOT been a good day for eating. Both meals so far have been fast food, and on the road. DH left this morning for a week long conference and I felt sorry for myself since he is the cook. It's not that I can't cook, but I've gotten out of the habit. He's been doing the cooking for about 18 years. Our kids have been gone for 15 of those years, so I've really loved it. But, I'll fix myself dinner tonight and bkfst tomorrow.

Though it's my day off, I'll go in to work tomorrow. Our IT guy could ONLY come on Friday to solve problems. Personally, I think we need a new IT guy. But, I only have one vote.

See ya,
Peace, Peg

Peg, you may only have one vote, but since you are the senior level pastor, your vote should count more!

You'd think, wouldn't ya??!! But, I'm trying hard to foster a culture of equality and democracy. You would be surprised about how little power a senior pastor has if they decide not to be authoritarian.

Hi everybody!

Just wanted to stop in and say hi! Feeling really pumped, got a 2 pound loss this week. Eating and exercise has been really focused. I'm trying to think in terms of what would I eat if I were only trying to eat what my body needs, at the right time, based mostly on hunger and time of the day.
It's amazing how many reasons there are to eat. I'm just trying to me aware of them and eat the right things at the right times.
Have a great weekend all!

Gregg, that's the most rational approach I've heard in a long time!!! Major congrats on your loss!! You're doing Grrrrrrrrrrgreat!

MON!!! Nice to hear from you, girlfriend!

Peg, how are you doing today? Any drive-by's???

I had a Dr. appointment about an hour south of home, and delightfully discovered that the town was having it's annual "fest." Spent a delightful several hours cruising quaint shops, surfing treasures under tents, and enjoying the sunshine--oh, and hit a bead shop, spending more than I should have.

Dreamfield Pasta, Deb? Boy, I must be out of the loop!

Brenda,

I imagine you were in Geneva, for their Swedish Days. Long Grove is having their strawberry fest this weekend too!
