Does anyone have a recipe for this where it could be altered to lc?

I love Black Forest Cake and so does the dh...wanted to make one for him sometime but wanted to make it LC - so I could enjoy it, too.

If anyone does have a recipe, it would be greatly appreciated.

I don't know why it couldn't be done. You probably already know how to make a low carb chocolate cake. Whipped cream is easy. Chocolate curls are easy. The only problem would be the cherries, and I think if you used fresh cherries and sweetened them yourself it could be done. The only thing I'd be concerned about is portion control...if it's really good you could end up eating more than you intend to. So it's probably good to make individual portions and no leftovers.

I seem to remember you're very near your goal? So a few cherries shouldn't be a problem.

I've made a "sort of" black forest cake using the 3 minute chocolate cake (posted in the recipes section), whipped cream with Splenda, and Lucky Leaf Splenda-sweetened cherry pie filling.

Making it small like that took care of the portion control problem, and it was plenty big enough, once split and filled with the whipped cream/cherry pie filling, for DH and I to share!

Hahah, that reminds me of one day my son and I were driving to Seattle a few months ago, and we got into saying Schwartzwalderkirschtorte over and over again. So then I had to have a bite of one when I was at Pike Place Market.
