Default New kitchen gadget.

The UPS dude brought mine yesterday.

They had round roast on sale for $1.49 at Food Town and I ran and got one. Sliced it up, rolled each piece through this little thing 5 or 6 times and we had chicken fried steak for supper tonight.

My husband laughed at me when he saw it, but the goofy little thing works!

In the instructions they said you will need to buy extra O rings and they weren't kidding. One broke while I was using it today, other than that this is a cool little gadget. It beats pounding with the meat mallet all to heck.

Neat looking gadget. I sometimes spend 10 minutes pounding tough cuts of meat. This is not bad for the price.

Yea, I hate pounding meat.

Clean up was pretty easy, I ran some hot soapy water in my sink and threw the pieces of the machine into the water and let them soak while I finished supper. Then when supper was over and I was putting the dishes into the dishwasher I just ran the rollers under some running water and all the meat particles rinsed right off and I just stuck the whole thing in the dishwasher.

I'm wondering about chicken breasts, I'm kinda thinking that I'll have to butterfly the breasts before putting them through this. I don't think the thick part of a whole breast will fit though the rollers.

I love Chicken Kiev made with mozzarella cheese in the pocket instead of just compound butter, but I'd rather take a beating than sit and pound out enough breasts to feed my whole family.
