Question Atkins Frozen Pizza

I almost fell over today when I saw Atkins Frozen Pepperoni Pizza in the local supermarket's frozen food section.

BUT....I don't have any idea what it tastes like, and after a very, VERY bad experience with Atkins pasta, I want to know....has anyone tried this?

I know of some people on my Yahoo! groups who have tried it and find it be very good. However, there is also a rumor that "corn syrup solids" is listed as an ingredient (haven't seen it yet, so can't confirm), so if you are a purist, that might make it a no-go for you.

had a coupon for a dollar off on one and I figured I'd give it a try. Was pretty good taste wise but the crust was slightly chewy. But altogether pretty good.

It's not too bad. The first time I ate it, I thought "Why did a buy a 3-pack at Sams?" But, had another one the other night and got it a little crispy (maybe a little over done) and the crust was much better that way... not as chewy. Definitely a nice alternative when I don't have the time (or motivation) to fix dinner. Just pop in a regular frozen pizza for DH and DD, and an Atkins one for me.

I've enjoyed it on a couple occasions - like when the boys are having delivery. I think it is quite decent (but then I haven't had any other pizza for a long time).

Personally, I'd rather pick the toppings off a real pizza. I didn't do well with it -- I've not been able to eat a single Atkins branded product since the company changed after his death. For me, it was not worth the $$.

At my Kroger, they are $4.59. I bought one yesterday on sale $3.99 and I had a dollar off coupon. I got the Supreme....shoulda stuck with the Pepperoni. It took me 15 minutes to dig through the topping to rid it of those nasty black olives!! I nuked mine, although you can bake it in the oven. It was okay.
I agree with Debby and Sharron:it's okay if you are short on time and/or motivaton to cook, but I'd just as soon spend the $3.99 at CiCi's and eat the toppings off the real thing.

Thanks for the feedback everyone! I've had such strange experiences with Atkins products, that I'm unwilling to spend money without hearing what people think first.

I found them! at wal-mart for something like 3.50 + a box.. i added some groundbeef mushroom onion stuff i had cooked up forgetting that im not feeding an army lol..
so i froze 1/2 of it and i can use it for omlets ect.. well i topped the pizza w/ that and a little bit more cheese.. it was okay.. tho i prefer a crunchie crust... i would pretty much rather make one on a LC tortila but it was fast... so i was actualy eating lunch w/ my kido instead of still fixing lunch while he was snarfing his down..
i nuked it for 1 min then poped it under broiler to met and brown cheese.. was better than nothing for lunch i guess.. gave me a pizza feel..
