Question Question for Sharron about sweetener

Hi, Sharron!

In your cookbook, you call for "Sweet and Slender" by Wisdom Herbs in some of your recipes, the same company that makes SteviaPlus.

I went to my local Whole Foods where I have purchased SteviaPlus and they didn't carry "Sweet and Slender." Their closest equivalent was SweetLife by Renew Life. The ingredients are: Fructose, Lo Han (a fruit), and F.O.S. from chicory. One gram or 1/5 tsp. is equal to 2 tsp. of sugar and there is 1 carb per serving.

Is this the same as Sweet and Slender? It was very expensive! Is there an online low cost source for Sweet and Slender?

Thanks,

Karen

Ack! I'm sorry it was expensive :o

http://store.wellsfargoestore.com/st...&l=SharronLong There is Wisdom Herbs store front. They've got specials going on all the time. They also have an equivalencies link on the side, so you can check and see how your product compares to what I use.

I hope this helps, and I hope you enjoy the book

Sharron,
I have looked everywhere for Stevia Plus and have not been able to find it. Is liquid Stevia the same thing?

Sharon, Can you buy the Sweet & Slender in grocery stores (ex-Kroger carries the Stevia) or can you only get it off of this website?

I honestly have no idea. I know I can buy it locally at my Wild Oats store, but I have no way to know what is available around the country. You might contact Wisdom Herbs at the link I posted above and ask them if it is available in your area.

Sorry I couldn't be of more help...
