hi all, i am trying to find some nutritional info online for giardinair ... but i am not spelling it right, can anyone help?
you know - the dressing you put on sandwiches, etc. w/ hot peppers, jalapenos, oil, etc....
anyone know how to spell it? :o
better yet, where to find nutritional info?

Giardinera is simply pickled things from the garden. (giardino = garden). The nutritional information will vary according to what vegetables you use. I like to make my own, but there are a few brands that aren't bad. When I use a commercial product, I tend to take the nutritional information at face value. Look at the contents - some brands tend to be very "carrot heavy." Also, check the ingredients. There shouldn't be any sugar type ingredients. This is meant to be a vinegary, slightly hot, affair.

In Chicago, they tend to put a chopped up version of giardinera on beef sandwiches, if I recall.
