Did anyone hear the report on TV stating that, because low carb products weren't selling, that meant the low carb diet was fading out????? Sheesh! Someone should educate them to the fact that we low carbers ain't stupid... If it ain't good we ain't buying, and if its expensive, we STILL ain't buying!

I hope they keep selling the Carb Option sauces, like bbq & Asian Teriyaki, etc. We love those!

i think the carb option stuff and the dreamfields pastas are realy the only main low carb things i buy.. i buy the marinades from carb options and use the teriakie at least 1 time a week. the pastas probly 2 times a week.. (sometimes less) i was buying the cereals but havent for a while.. but it is on my shopping list agin.. mainly beacuse i use the cereals for bakeing.. as a cheese cake crust..

well, maybe the FAD portion of it is dying, but those who do it right and make it a part of their life really never bought into the fad products out there anyhow.

Funny - I keep seeing more LC choices in mainstream markets every day - and not just bars. Other than Splenda and SF syrups, the main LC products I buy are just "occasionals" - ice cream and tortillas. And, those seem to become more commonly available every time I go to the market.

My grocery store just started carrying the lc tortillas (after I had to make a trip to a specialty store to find them). After a bad start I really don't buy many lc things either but do enjoy having ketchup and bbq sauce again. So I'm with pianomom, as long as they keep that stuff around I'll be happy.

But lou, you're right, there's too much junk out there and we ain't buying it.

I wish they would come up with a GOOD lc bread. Decided to take my new bread machine back....figured that if I was struggling this much to lose I didn't need the temptation of fresh smelling hot bread, even if it is lc...easy to eat too much...like Noel and the cornbread incident. Oh well, maybe we need to e-mail some of these companies and let them know we are here but want better quality products.

I think there are still a lot of products out there that can move into the healthier side of low carb eating.

For example, Lean Cuisine just started advertising an new line of frozen meals that omit rice, noodles, and potatoes. Instead, the meals have more veggies.

I rarely buy ready-made meals, but I feel like buying some Lean Cuisine if only to give the company encouragement to keep moving in this direction. Heck, if I was back to the days of long commutes again, I'm sure I would buy some ready-mades for lunches and even dinners.
