Just a heads up on Expert Foods' new web site. It is gorgeous! Some of you may have seen it already . . . I haven't visited for several months. Lots of recipes and a special Thanksgiving recipe section . . . even a no-bread stuffing recipe.

Thanks, Alida!

I haven't been there for a few months, so I'll have to check in and see what's up.

Liquid Splenda:

http://www.locarber.com
http://www.sweetzfree.com

Note that locarber takes forever to ship! I use Sweetzfree.

Gosh, I bought both ThicknThin not/Starch . . . and Sugar a month ago and have not used them yet . . . oh yes I did . . . used it to thicken the DaVinci's Pancake Syrup. But now with Thanksgiving coming up, I will use both. Note: my husband does the "daily" cooking. I just come out of the closet on holidays!

Glance through their recipes, Gilley. That will give you an idea of how to use their products.

you can get the liquid splenda concentrates from either:

http://locarbsyrup.com/
(she also sells wheat protein isolate: http://locarber.com/store/index.php?&prodID=WPI-001 )

or
http://www.sweetzfree.com/ (a more concentrated version than locarber, so you use much less; price includes shipping so this is a bit cheaper)

I decided to try the wheat protein isolate, too (holiday baking, eh?). I ordered it from Honeyville, which has a lower price than the one above, and much lower shipping fees if you choose ground shipping.

Main Street Ingredients manufacturers WPI; but, after looking at their website, I'm doubtful that they would sell to individuals:

After reading this site, I decided to make a big purchase to go with my new way of eating. I stopped by www.Netrition.com and ordered Thicken Thin/not starch and six bottles of DaVinci syrup...all different flavors. Now I just need to learn how to incorporate them in my diet for a little more variety in my day.

My favorite way of adding DaVinci's is to add a flavor to a glass of Club Soda then add a splash of cream. I will also add a little to my FlaxOMeal cereal with Hood milk. That is my comfort food. Also, add in coffee and tea. Many recipes also use DV.

If you bought the DaVinci's Pancake Syrup, you can thicken it up with the not/starch. Put the syrup in a glass measuring cup, stir in not/Starch and put in micro. Great thick syrup! Use not/starch to thicken sauces and gravies. Add to a crock pot stew to thicken juices.

Check out the recipe section at http://www.expertfoods.com
