Dad2bike -

I was just in Vegas this past weekend. Stayed at Caesar's and found a $500 gaming chip as we were checking in! Didn't even have to gamble after that!

Teel -

Nice gadget I'll have to look for one of those.

MarcieLynn, I'm glad you had a good time on your visit. I hope that you helped keep my property taxes low
I was successful at finding an asian market to get the shirataki noodles at. And it was only about 5 blocks from my gym. Picked them up on the way home. Followed the recipe in your write-up. I used canned italian tomatoes, ground beef, pepper and onion for the sauce. Great. Those noodles are neutral in flavor & smell. That is after you rinse them off. Boy that was something we did really really quick. Even rinsed the bags. Once rinsed off totally nothing. They sauteed up very nicely. Now that I know they are near my gym "spaghetti" night will be one of my workout nights so I can pick them up on the way home. Thanks for a great write up on these noodles.
Tom.

You might want to look at the Spirooli Charski mentions above, too. It does the same thing and sells for less $$.

In fact, there are several different gadgets on the market that do the same thing - they are called spiral slicers, rotary slicers, or potato threaders.

We talked about different versions of this gadget last year in "what is that thang?"

I like the one I bought because it works well, but I find the grip to be awkward.
