1) Anyone heard of this??? Yes
(2) Anyone have one??? Yes, I am a GADGET GIRL, I MUST own a Spirooli!
(3) Is it a good thing to have??? It's a cool thing to have, and fun to use
(4) A bad thing to have? No, see above
(5) Is it a debilitating disease??? If you are a GADGET GIRL it is a semi-disease
(6) Is it a nasty infection? No, in fact, if you use it to cut up pretty veggies it may lessen your chances for a nasty infection!

I bought mine on eBay. (Natch, where else would I shop!!!) It makes wonderful zucchini "noodles" which when quickly sauteed in olive oil/butter are a very tasty base for all manner of sauce stuff.

It also is fun for doing radishes and carrots and so on for salads!

Quick, buy one! You're wasting time not Spirooli-ing!!

WOOHOO!!! OK, that is good then. I love gadgets too...unfortunately MY gadget "addiction" is to electronics... Palm Pilots, digital ANYTHING and count me IN!

I may have to get one of these bad boys....SPIROOLI!!! I wanna make some zuchinni noodles to kick it up a notch with some carbonara sauce! OH HEJJ YAH BABY!!!

Or, I may call in sick to school with the excuse of having "Spirooli"....either or....those massage people have no clue..if it doesn't have to do with some part of the anatomy...then FUGGETABOUTIT!

Anyone make anything else kewl with this Spirooli gizmo...

Uh...oh....YIKES....made some roasted veggies for dinner tonight and put some Jalapenos in there...I just scratched my eye. WAY TO GO...DUH!

Kim, thinking of you here... Tell me I'm an idiot NOW. *sigh*

Owwwww...goin to wash it out...

Later skaters,
K

I have a gadget that does the same kind of thing - it's a spiral slicer made by Benriner. I use it a couple of times a week with both salad vegetables and cooked vegetables.

I just think no kitchen should be without a spiral slicer of some sort. You can make a fantastic salad using cucumber and carrot threads and a light, pungent dressing. I use summer squash and zucchini to make "noodle" type dishes. I think it works especially well with cheese sauces.

get it - I bet you love it...
