Ok I actually do not know what this is (ducking head)
Can I find it at local grocery stores, at Walmart, at a hfs??
Don't feel bad, I didn't either! It's just powdered stevia with added fiber - I bought it in packets at The VitaminShoppe which recently opened in town - you can also go to their website. They have their own brand, but it's put up by Sweet Leaf and it's dang good.
I've tried stevia products in the past and they were anywhere between, "yuck, I don't much care for this" and "OMIGAWD what IS this sh*t???" All of the previous ones hit the trashcan.
This stuff I like, even just in my cuppa tea without the benefit of other flavors to cover it up - no nasty aftertaste like I detected from previous brands.
HTH!

Veni, vidi, velcro. I came, I saw, I stuck around.
Save the Earth - it's the only planet with CHOCOLATE!
Cynthia: I use SteviaPlus, but I'm very careful how I use it.
I don't use it alone. It doesn't seem to sweeten very well on its own. Not only does it not seem sweet by itself, but it also tastes bitter.
I use two packages of SteviaPlus and 4 tsp of Splenda-sweetened, sugar-free syrup in two cups of green tea. I use one package of SteviaPlus and 1 package of Sweet 'n' Low (my prefered iced tea sweetener) when out at restaurants. For cooking, I use Splenda.
The reason I started using SteviaPlus is because it has zero calories, 1 gram of carb, which is zero net carbs when you subtract the fiber. If I have four cups of green tea and two tall glasses of iced tea, I can save 24 calories (not a big deal) and 6 grams of carbs (a huge deal when you're on induction).
SteviaPlus is expensive. I pay $10 for a box with 100 packages. Because of changes in my income, money is tighter than it has been in four years. So I may need to find a better balance between my SteviaPlus and Sweet 'N' Low/Splenda usage.

I get it at a little health food store here in Moreno Valley that doesn't carry much of a variety, so I'm sure your health food store will have it. If not, PM me with your snail mail addy and I'll mail one up the hill to you.
If you prefer, I'll mail you a couple of packages so you can try it first before buying the entire box. I've not tried all the other brands, but like Char I use the SweetLeaf brand. It comes in a green box.

Ralph's probably won't have it but Clarks will. If it's anything like the one in Riverside, it has a ton of stuff the smaller health food stores don't carry--like Eden black soy beans for chili.

I usually use a mixture of the liquid Splenda and the liquid Stevia. That's worked pretty well to make things taste sweeter.
