| Plain yogurt with splenda. cream - whip a little or a lot depending on what you want, add strawberries and you have a strawberry dream desert.... I go real simple with my strawberries, cause I want to taste them.... those are my ideas c

| Lou, Here's a recipe for sorbet from an article I did a while back: ![]() Strawberry Sorbet 4 cups frozen, unsweetened strawberries, slightly thawed ? cup sugar free vanilla or strawberry syrup (or substitute 4 packets Splenda and ? cup cold water) juice of ? lemon Sprigs of fresh mint If you have a good blender, you can make sorbet without an ice cream maker. Place all the ingredients, working in three batches, in the blender (if it has a metal container, use it; it will hold the cold better than plastic) and blend on highest speed until smooth. Scoop into serving dishes (I like to use martini glasses for this) and garnish with mint. 5 carbs per serving.

| At least once a week, I make 2 packets of S/F strawberry (or strawberry/banana) jello. Before I put it in the fridge to set, I slice up a bunch of strawberries and mix them in. It makes the S/F "treat" just a little more filling - especially with some freshly whipped cream on top! YUMMY! |

| AJ!! YUMMMMMMM I just bought 3 quarts of strawberries for $5...the FRESH ones! I love strawberry season in Florida. Last weekend my son wanted a milkshake...so I took some LC vanilla ice cream, fresh berries and a little half/half and mixed it in the blender. YUMMYY!! Only had a little myself but it sure was filling.

| Mmmm, Trina, I see me and hubby sipping on those, while sitting in the hot tub, after a nice dip in the pool. 'Course, I am gonna have to wait about 2 and a half months to realize THAT fantasy,*L*, but I can look forward to it! |

| Boy do I need this thread. I just bought a huge bag of frozen strawberries from Sam's Club. Plus, the berries are giants! I used to make Strawberry Pie before LCing. Now that I have the Carbquik, I may try that again. Of course, fresh strawberries are better for a pie, but I have all these frozen strawberries!

| On that Strawberry Pie, here's the link to Betty's Peach Pie, which I think would work for Strawberries, too, minus the nutmeg and cinnamon: http://www.lowcarbeating.com/bb/show...light=Carbquik If I recall my old recipe, I did not pre-cook the fresh strawberries. Just mixed them with the sugar in a bowl, dumped in the crust, dotted with butter. Then topped with 2nd crust and baked.

| strawberrie salad, w/ spinich some sunflower seeds and a light vinigret mmmm sometimes i will just slice strawberries sprinkle w/ splenda or liquid sweetner and have them as a side dish i over ate on the strawberries lastnight in a bad way.. used the ol whiped cream (coolwhip ) for dipping.. gota little outa hand.. guess when i said.. "ill get this for the kids i knew deep down in side i would be useing it too. weird thing when buying it i turnd it and read carb count. the regular cool whip is lower in carbs than the light.. (the ones w/ the little south beach symbol on them.. weird but understandable) anyway.. im gona try and bake some kind of strawberrie cake, or crumb to use up one of the packs i got.. super sale on them at grocer
