Default Carb Focus chips

On the Texas Burger thread, CarolyninTexas mentioned WalMart brand Carb Focus chips. I had never eaten them....... in fact, I haven't been down the chip aisle in so long that I had never even seen them. But, in the spirit of testing new items, I bought a bag of the only flavor my Wal-Mart had --- Guacamole. About 12 chips is 9 carbs. They definitely aren't for those on induction, and probably shouldn't be for any of us except on special occasions. But, with that disclaimer now added, I will admit, THEY ARE GOOD! I almost wish that I hadn't discovered them. I'm afraid that the bag won't last very long. (FYI-- the price of these chips was very comparable to regular chips.)

Wow, Judy! Thanks for reminding me.....I need to go visit my buddy in Lufkin and get me some Green Sauce to go these chips. What other flavors do they have? Something plain? The fact that they are comparable in price to regular chips is amazing.

I think Carolyn said there were two other flavors --- one was flax. All we had were the quacomole.

Three flavors, Guacamole, Black Bean and plain tortillas with flax seeds....
they are located in the chip isle at Walmart... price is like under 2 dollars a bag if I am remembering correctly....
they are too good, but when I want something to snack on that is crunchy,
the flax seed ones really hit the spot (I don't really care too much for the other two flavors, but it seems there are more of them then the other) I just
bought 3 bags and took one to work, had some of the other with a bowl of chili *(Instead of crackers or something else I shouldn't have) and have one
left to take camping this weekend) WHile the counts are a little high, there are 5 fiber per serving, and the flax seed one is a great addition of fiber to the diet....
If I budget my carbs I can have a small portion daily... next bag I am going to
portion out in individual bags so I know how much is one ounce,,,,
thats my take on these....they are good.... and taste is part of staying on this way of life...
