    Default A Block of Coconut

I wanted to buy some coconut milk but I could not find any so I bought this block of coconut instead which you can dissolve in water to make milk. The ingredients list only coconut which makes it nice and pure with no additives. However, there are no nutritional numbers so I am not sure how to count this product.

    Al,
Well if you are sure there is no sugar or fillers, then I think I would count it just like coconut milk. Did you try the company website for nutritional info?...just a thought.

I worked out (I think) the nutritional values but I ended up not using it as it was a bit messy the coconut did not fully dessolve and I had no muslim to strain it.

I went to a specialist Chinese shop and bought coconut milk (great shop definately going back there again although had to work out what some stuff is) and I think I have worked out that 30ml (3 tablespoons) has 1 carb and 30 cals. Can anyone confirm this before I overcarb on coconut please?

I just run it through fitday and 1 oz(which is 2Tablespoons) was 65 calories, 2g carb with 1g fiber for 1g net carb.

Well, for comparrison purposes, the USDA lists coconut milk as having 1 carb per 30 ml, but 60 calories for this amount.

Also, 30 ml is 2 tablespoons (+/- .1), not 3, according to the USDA and all the on-line converters I checked, no matter what "kind" of tablespoon one is using (US, UK or metric).
