I really want to look at making something sweet for desert and I was thinking of chocolate cookies, does anyone know where I can get sugar free cocoa powder in the UK? All the ones I have look at have added sugar!

I know in the US, one often finds different types of cocoa powder in different sections of the supermarket. In the beverage related section, one might find sweetened cocoa powders near the coffee and tea. The unsweetened types are most often found in the section where the baking supplies are kept.

Don't know if this applies in your supermarkets.

Yes it does, I found about 4 different types in different places (go figure) but they all ahd sugar. I also cannot find any sugar free coffee flavouring (I am after something like DaVinci). Sugar free is still not a big thing in the UK. I think if I get to a bigger city sometime I might try and see if there are any speciality shops for diabetics. I've seen lots of recipies I want to try out but I haven't got the ingredients.

I found a website for Nestle in the UK, hope this helps. Maybe you can order something online from them, or another company that makes chocolate products?

Baking cocoa in the UK is sweetened?!?

We've always been able to get unsweetened baking cocoa and baking chocolate even before there was any such thing as artificial sweeteners. Grocery stores large and small carry it.

Are we thinking about the same product?
