It's the little prepackaged puddings that Jell-O makes - it comes in a dry form, you add milk or whatever to it to make pudding. Not sure if you have it over there!

Alcmene, are you in Great Britain? I know that the term pudding is used very differently over there. Pudding here usually refers to a blend of milk, sugar, and flavoring (such as vanilla or chocolate) that is cooked and thickened with cornstarch. Its consistancy is like the soft custard used in trifles. It differs from custard because there are no eggs in it. Pudding mix is sold in packets, like Char said, where all you need to do is add milk. There are two varieties, cooked and instant (which sets up which out need of cooking when mixed at high speed with a mixer.)

Hope this helps!

Ahhhh, right. Maybe it is sorta like Angel Delight? I am sure they do a sugar free version. I don't drink milk though could I use water and a bit of cream?

Let me see if I can find a link to the product I have in mind.
