Default I Need to Make a Dessert to Take to a Dinner

Next Wednesday I am going to a dinner given by a work colleague for some French placement students. There will be three of us and three students. I will be taking dessert but I need ideas as to what to take. Preferably it should be something I can get ready the night before and will still be yummy 24 hours later.

How about that chocolate mayonaise cake? I think it's getting rave reviews; I've not made it yet. Cheese cake made low carb way is always a hit; there are several recipes here to choose from. I particularly like Marcies' dense and crumbly cheesecake recipe. Sharron also has some good recipes too.

I thought of cheesecake too maybe with some sort of almond crust. It needs to be something not too out there because of the French! My colleagues are happy to try anything.

I'd go with a LC cheesecake and some splenda sweetened fresh strawberries to top it.

What a way to feel ready for Summer!

This is the link to the Dense and Crumbly cheesecake...yummy!
http://www.lowcarbeating.com/recipe_..._name=Desserts

Also, click on the recipes tab at the top of the page to see more cheesecake recipes.
Check the cooking forum for the Chocolate Mayonaise poundcake thread; the recipe is listed there. I'll see if I can ~bump~ it for you!

That chocolate cake does look good.

I might make that AND have a go at a cheesecake too, so many to choose from though. Is there a particular one from the list of recipies that someone has tried and can recommend? I am keen on strawberry.

Also, I made the Coconut Macaroons from the Atkins website the other day and they were yummy so I might make them too to take with me and have with coffee after the meal AND the cake!

Soooo easy to make, and quick:

On this cheescake do you think I could replace pecan flour with almond flour?
