Default Counting Spices

I am currently experimenting with homemade curry. I've got it on the go at the moment and I am using Fitday to work out the carbs. I am slightly concerned though that the following spices are coming out as having carbs and I thought I did not have to count them.

tumeric
gram massala
coriander seed
cumin seed
curry powder

Does anyone else count them?

I'm the kind of cook that improvises the herbs and spices as i go along. By the time I've finished cooking I'm never sure how much I've put in. So I've never counted spices unless it's something I might use a lot of per serving such as chili powder at 1.5 net carbs per tbs.

Like Rob, I season on the fly. For most dishes, I generally consider that I don't add more than a carb or so to a whole recipe. When I've worked out the exact nutritionals for posting to our recipe section, I find that this is probably about right for most situations.

Exceptions are things like chili and cinnamon that often are used in larger amounts.

Thanks guys, that is what I normally do but I have made a batch that should hopefully get 4 servings out of it. I didn't use more than a teaspoon of each and a quarter teaspoon of chili powder so hopefully it should be OK.

I also used half a can of coconut milk (ooeeer calories), 75 grams of yoghurt and 9 cashew nuts so that is where most of the carbs are coming from.

I am going to write up the method and the recipe now and if it turns out OK I will post it.
