I've learned it doesn't replace a food processor, but is a nice little mini blender. and all the drinking cups that fit right on it are cool.

I wish I could get the Curves protein mix powder without haveing to join up again. but then again, maybe that isn't such a bad idea. I just wish they had better hours.

If I find one at a reasonable price, I may ask for it for my birthday. But what about the bike I asked for? Or the Estee Lauder Pleasures perfume? Uh, oh!

Dang it, Brenda!! Why didn't you post right BEFORE I ordered!?? I used it this morning. Cool. I suspect that it won't replace any of the many kitchen electrical appliances I have at home in MA. But, for here in CA, it works. I'll probably take it home with me. Something about having something so cool.
Peace, Peg

Hey, I saw one of these at Linens and Things. It was $59.99....not sure if it had ALL the bells and whistles, but it showed to have 2 blades, 4 mugs, and....something else I'm not recalling right now. If I get another 20% off any item, and it's not restricted....I may have to have one of these! (I could make alot of cool frosty drinks in the summer, even non-dairy ones.)

Let's see....60 times 2 equals 120...so that's $12.00 off of 60....so for $48.00 plus tax, that little gem could come home to live with me! I still want that bike, though.....

The one we got off the web, came with the blender unit as well, like Alida. And yes we've used it too. Usually when we are making a double batch of shakes or Vickies Pumpkin Muffin Thingys. You'll love it... Once you do get it.

Do you do the "shake" method as suggested in the instruction manual? When chopping certain things, it's best to take the whole unit in your hands and shake it while the unit is running. Or run-stop-shake,run-stop-shake. Then do the hokey pokey and turn yourself around . . . .

LOL!! very droll!

FWIW, I've decided to take a pass on using MB for making salsa - or anything else that calls for fine chopping vs puree. Mine over processes/underprocesses and makes a texture I don't care for very much.

But, I love the MB for what it does well - grinding flaxseeds, making instant berry ice cream, pumpkin thingies and so on.

I'm bumping this up.

One of the blade attachments on my Bullet has split right around it's base. I can't screw it on because it is broken. I have written an email to the Bullet people but they won't even reply since I bought it on ebay. I've gone on ebay to see if there are replacement parts, but no luck.

Any ideas?
Peg

I googled around a bit hoping to find replacement parts but had no luck. I did find the following review:

"Strengths: I have used it for one year and loved it.
Weaknesses: Broken plastic gears. Cheap construction.
Summary: The plastic gear in the motor unit has broken and I cannot find any replacement parts. I have used the unit for a full year and liked the way it worked, however the plastic gears should last longer than a year or parts should be easily available to purchase for replacement.
Customer service is poor. Beware of cheap construction."

Thanks, Rob. That's what I suspected. Thanks too for doing that search. You are the best!

You're welcome Peg! I heard back from homeland housewares this morning. while the response i got shows they never read my email it was somewhat encouraging as to replacement parts. I think the best bet would be to phone them at their toll free number (866-446-6352). Here's the text that was encouraging.

"We would like to assist you with replacement parts for your Magic Bullet,
but we will need to determine that our replacement parts will be compatible
with your Magic Bullet".

Peg,
I dug out the paper work on my bullet. It gives several web addy's. They really push buying their 4 year extended warranty...
Anyhoo...here's the addy's...they might help? or maybe you've already tried them??
www.homelandhousewares.com
www.buythebullet.com/warranty ....this one is only to BUY the warranty...sigh.
and to order toll free, the number is like the one Rob lists, except my brochure
says 877-446-6352.
