    Default Asian Fusion Brussel Sprouts

I decided to experiment tonight and created a recipe that I call Asian Fusion Brussel Sprouts. My DW, who is not a big fan of Brussel Sprouts, but who will eat them, really liked them, so I will give them :great: .

    Asian Fusion Brussel Sprouts

    2 pounds Brussel Sprouts
    3 Tbls olive oil
    1 Tbls sesame oil
    2 Tbls chopped garlic
    2-3 tsp grated ginger root

In a small bowl, combine olive oil, sesame oil, garlic and ginger. (I used a combination of plain sesame oil and hot chili sesame oil.) Stir and let sit while preping the sprouts. Trim the base of the sprouts and cut them in half. Put the sprouts in a plastic bag, add the oil mixture and mix to coat the sprouts. Put in a single layer on a foil lined cookie sheet sprayed with Pam and bake in a preheated 500 degree oven for about 20 minutes, stirring after 15 minutes. When the outer leaves begin to carmelize, remove from the oven and serve.

Henry, this sounds so good, and it's so simple. Thanks for the idea. Now, all I have to do is find some fresh sprouts.

That sounds wonderful, Henry. And I've got a bunch of sprouts in the vegie drawer just waiting to be cooked. I see a tasty treat with dinner tonight. Maybe I'll teriyaki the pork chops that I was planning. I think that would go well together.

Very yummy! Went beautifully with my teriyaki pork chop (using daVinci coconut syrup for the sweet note.) Thanks, Henry!

Relax, Franny. I know sprout envy when I see it ... no matter how cleverly disguised as disdain!
