| Hello! I was interested in starting to make my own LC blender smoothies and was hoping some of you have some great recipes! I wanted to include some silken tofu for a protein kick but am not sure on how much I should add for a single serving. Hope you have some ideas, this would make breakfast more interesting and help me stop buying costly AdvantEdge shakes. Thanks, you are the best!!

| Do you have a Trader Joe's or health food store around? If so, look for Designer Whey Protein - it comes in different flavors like vanilla, chocolate, strawberry and even plain. There's a little folder in the can with some ideas for making different low carb shakes. I think you idea of using some silken tofu along with some nice protein powder, water -sweetener as desired-- would make a very nice shake. When I make my own protein shakes, each one is an experiment. Some more successful than others.

| Hi I'm in San Diego too. there are 2 Trader Joe's locations here. I like the one in La Mesa because it's not as crowded as the Hillcrest location...but the Hillcrest location is interesting to say the least! They have quite a few things that make this lifestyle a bit easier. Good luck with your quest for a tasty breakfast smoothie Hillcrest (#26) 1090 University Avenue San Diego, CA 92103 (619) 296-3122 Uptown District next to Ralph's La Mesa (#24) 5495 Grossmont Center Drive La Mesa, CA 91942 (619) 466-0105 At Murray Drive across from the Claim Jumper The store is open 8AM to 9PM

| All right, out here in the wasteland known as Kansas, there are no Trader Joe's, so this Designer Whey Protein stuff isn't available. Anyone know of a similar substitute? I'm also thinking about smoothies now that I'm incorporating berries, and I've always loved tofu . . . . |

| Walmart is now carrying a similar product. You can always order it online, where you got the Davinci syrup. |

| Designer Whey Protein is sold in healthfoods stores and Whole Foods, too. I like to get it at Trader Joe's because it's less expensive there. Nettrition does carry it (http://www.netrition.com/designer_page.html). And, there are numerous different brands of whey protein and other protein isolate powders. The Designer Protein line is the best tasting of the ones I've tried so far.

| Unsweetened coconut milk. It's easy to have on hand and it's one of those fats we are now supposed to eat so we live forever. It makes a nice smoothie |

| What about Isopure? I ordered a free sample and they sent me pineapple, orange, strawberry plus a free t shirt! It has 0 carbs, 0 sugar, 50 grams of protein per serving. I didn't think I would like it, but it was pretty good. Tasted a lot like orange cream. yum

| I found some Designer Whey Protien at WalMart this afternoon when I was buying my AdvantEdge shakes! It is the chocoate kind and that was all they had. It was right with all the diet shakes and LC products.

| I like to make a smoothie with frozen strawberries, low carb milk or coconut milk (but not as much of the coconut milk since it's really high in calories), some ice, vanilla protein powder, and LC vanilla syrup. Put the protein powder in first and blend really well, since some of them tend to clump. |

| I sometimes make smoothies with some kind of protein (usually soy isolate), kefir (I strain mine, so it's at least as thick as yogurt), flax meal, (fruit o' the day) and some sweetener. I find these a nice tasty alternative to a meal (or if small) snack.

| Here's a recipe for a Vanilla Pumpkin Smoothie . It was very nice - maybe a little too rich. Next time I plan to increase the pumpkin, decrease the ice, omit the half-and-half. And, perhaps add some pumpkin spice and cinnamon.
