Default Aduki Beans

Can someone help me please? I had some of these today and I LOVED them, but I cannot find them on FitDay.

I had them with sliced tomatoes, cucumbers and olives, with a walnut oil and mustard dressing.

Alcmene,
I just happen to have a can in my cupboard, so I can give you some info. I have eaten aduki beans in the past, and really enjoy them. (You South Beach, G.I. Diet, and Zone types might want to check them out!) They have a high protein-to-carb ratio (7 grams of protein per 1/2 cup, with 19 grams of carbs, and 5 grams of fiber), and are delicious. A 1/2 cup also has 250 milligrams of potassium. And, walnut oil on salads just rocks, IMHO.

BTW: I LOVE your avatar photo! So pretty!!

Hello

Thanks! That photo got taken at a nightclub by my friend, I was slightly intoxicated hence the red face! I would never have worn a strapless top like that before!

I have moved up the carb ladder and it is WORKING for me, I am averaging about 100-120 carbs a day and these beans are fantastic to up your carbs. I just couldn't find them on FitDay I suppose I can create a custom food I was just a little bit surprised that they are not there.

I think the reason you can't find them is your spelling - they're ADZUKI - I just looked and they do have them listed.

And I agree, that's a terrific picture!

But wait...I went back and looked at the can and it does say ADUKI...it's Eden brand organic beans. I Googled aduki, and it is an alternitive spelling of adzuki!!! So, Alcmene, we were ALL right! LOL!!
So maybe Fitday (I didn't check) only has them listed as adzuki.
In any case, they are a good bean; I like them.
