If you are low carbing, you can have full fat salad dressing as long as they have 3g of carb or less per 2 Tbsp. according to Dr Atkins.

Classic Creamy Caesar, Ken's Ranch, and Green Goddess are all fav's of mine.
Enjoy!

Typically, "reduced fat" foods have extra carbohydrates of some description to make up texture and flavor.

Use the full fat versions of bottled salad dressing. They taste better, and are generally low-carb. Look for ones that have 2 carbs or less per serving--a serving is usually 2 TBS.

We get to be avid label-readers around here!

The best is homemade from the Hidden Valley Ranch mix, made with homemade mayo. My son in law calls it the GOOD ranch dressing.

I really like all the Walden Farms dressings, 0 calories, 0 carbs, taste really good.

thats a wonderful idea... making your own! Penzeys has a buttermilk dressing and dip mix.. its in a jar like a spice, and it SAYS it has no carbs, so.... anyhow, I wonder if that would work as well, or be better then the ranch dressing mix??? anyone know?

actually, they do have a buttermilk ranch available..as I said above, mine is called buttermilk dressing and dip mix. If you'd like to check it out here is the link...but I don't know the carb content of this one.
