I've been ordering a lot of different DaVinci flavors but I don't have a whole lot of recipes. Could you guys share some of yours with me, please?

One of my favorites is to put a pat of butter in a skillet, brown some nuts (I prefer walnuts), then add some caramel syrup and let it cook until the nuts begin to dry. I don't have amounts, I'm an eyeball cook, but these are good. You can add a touch of powdered artificial sweetener, like Splenda, if you need a little more sweet. Let them cool, and they are ready to eat!

Almost all of them make nice sodas when mixed with seltzer, too.

I am living in Germany now, and cannot read labels at the store. My DH is in the Army, so we shop frequently at the Commissary on post. Truthfully, they do have a LOT of things I had back home as far as regular food. Low carb...not so much. BUT, I did see a DaVinci Sugar Free Vanilla Syrup the other day, and snatched it up! I didn't even have a recipe in mind, but we've been here 4 months, and several times I have passed something and thought maybe I'd get it later, only to come back and it is gone! :-(
SO, I have some vanilla. I'm going to try it in some things...we'll see...

I use it in my LC muffins and other baked goods. I sub a portion of the liquid for the syrup. I find it measures pretty much per cup for regular sugar, but like I said, you have to adjust your wet ingredients. Also, I like to add a bit of SteviaPlus to make the sweetness "fuller."

I've also done some marinades and salad dressings with it.

DaVinci has a nice webpage with recipes, which I'm sure many can be converted to low carb.

http://www.davincigourmet.com/recipes/

Of course, they're great in coffee and tea!

Thumbs up Re: Davinci recipes

I love to add the Vanilla sf syrup to my tea and coffe with a tsp. or two of heavy cream. Also, when I'm out at a restaurant I'll bring a small bottle sf vanilla syrup in my purse, along with some "true lemon" packets which I then add to my ice water.....pure heaven! I add one true lemon packet if they don't brink me any lemon slices, but most restaurants will, and then I add about a Tablespoon of the sf vanilla syrup. The Davinici sf syrups are harder to find where I live than the Sf Torani syrups, so mostly I use the SF Torani syrups unless I can find the SF DaVinci in the flavor I'm looking for. I've found the sf Davinci syrups at Marshall's, some Wallmarts and TJMaxx, but it's sporatic and few flavors to choose from. The SF Torani syrups I find at Cost Plus World Market and they have a gazillion flavors to choose from there.

You can also use the sf syrups to add to protein shakes, makes them sooo yummy!
