Time and time again, people get excited about a new great LC product. Sometime later in the year, the product is no longer on your grocer's shelves. You find out that a certain LC products company is not even making the product anymore!
What can we do?
When you discover a new LC product in your local grocery store, write a letter and mail it to that store to thank them for carrying the product. If you particularly like a LC product, write a letter and mail it to that store to thank them for carrying the product. If you desire a specific LC product that is currently not offered in your area, write a letter of request and mail it to that store.
It might help to mail a copy of your letters to the company that supplies the product. You might consider to mail a revised copy to the local news paper in a "Letters to the Editor" format. Feel free to post here if you ever send such letter out either way.
With all the competition for shelf space in grocery stores, it couldn't hurt to let the grocery managers know that LC products are wanted and appreciated. I've been told by Honeyville that contacting the grocery store is indeed the best place for me to start rather than just contact Honeyville. Hence, a copy to the LC products company of a letter mailed to the grocer will at least let them know you tried.
It would be interesting to see how such a campaign might work in your area.
You know, the same concept might work for requesting, or appreciation for LC dishes in restaurants......
