| Ok. this isn't a recipe - but as close as I get, okay? yesterday, I wanted tuna salad, but I was cold so wanted something warm. I loved tuna melts on a bagal, but that isn't allowed so -- i decided to have a tuna melt on celery. It was just what I needed. I made tuna salad (actually, a lot so I can have more) I then flattened out a serving on a plate and heated it for about 20 seconds - put a couple slices of cheese on top (I had smooshed it long enough) and heated it for another 10 seconds. then I sliced it into 1 inch slices and put it on celery. It was so good and nice and warm.

| My mom used to make tuna with eggs. She'd put drained tuna in a skillet to brown with a little oil, then add beaten eggs and scramble. You can adjust the ratio of tuna to eggs, depending on what you like. You could melt cheese on top of this, too. It was a cheap and quick meal for a big family. Now, I wonder how it would be to chop some celery and brown it with the tuna??? I might have to try your "recipe", Mary Kay. |
