| I am lucky enough to be working from home today so could make myself a hot meal at lunchtime! I have to share this as it was absolutely YUMMY. I bought a piece of topside beef yesterday and stuck it in the slow cooker overnight. I pan fried half a pack of shiritaki noodles in a tablespoon of butter. To that I added I cup of chopped tomatoes and 5 ounces of the beef which I roughly shredded (the rest went in the fridge). I also added about half a cup of the stock that the beef had produced and was in the slow cooker. After the liquid had nearly all gone I added 2 ounces of shredded cheddar cheese. Then salt and pepper and a handful of fresh parsley. OMG this is soooo good and I am really full too! Cals 734 Fat 54 Carbs 9 Protein 53

| ohhhhhhhhhh, you don't know what you are missing if you haven't tried them! Shiritaki is konnyaku in noodle form. You can actually buy konnyaku and then cut them into any shape you want, but I buy them already cut into noodles, so they are called shiritaki.

| Sharon, Shiritaki noodles are made out of powdered "Devil's tongue yam" and are very low in net carbs. Here is a link to an article Marcilynn wrote: http://www.lowcarbeating.com/bb/show...ight=shiritaki

| LOL I actually even made a comment on the article itself... I thought it sounded familiar!! Waah -- unfortunately I'm not driving and it is difficult to get someone to take me to the Asian market. This definitely sounds interesting!! :fork: |

| They have them at http://www.locarbu.com/catalog/ Supposed to be at Low Carb Connoiseur, but I couldn't get into their site. Jimmy Moore at Carbwire highly recommends them. Never tried them, perhaps it's time. |
