Lightbulb Zero carb crunchy snack

I'm new to this forum so hope I'm doing this right. If you're like me, you miss crunchy, salty snacks on a LC diet. But I've found something fast and delicious you might enjoy:

PEPPERONI AND CHEESE CHIPS

1. For each little crunchy pepperoni and cheese snack, use two thin slices of Hormel (or other) brand pepperoni slices. You can buy them in small bags already sliced. For example, if you're making 6 "chip sandwiches", place 12 slices of pepperoni on 4 paper towels.

2. Microwave about one minute on high; they will yield up almost all the fat, shrink to half the size and get VERY crispy.

3. Place a half-tablespoon piece of no-carb cheese (Gruyere and Jarlsberg work great, Provolone is too salty, but take your pick) on a pepperoni "chip". Cover it with another chip and just crunch away!

I think these little things have saved my LC diet, on which I've lost about 15 lbs. so far, with another ten to go.

Love those pepperoni chips! I never thought to put cheese on them. A dab of cream cheese and a slice of jalapeno might be good, too.

yes, those are a staple of many a low carbers WOE.

I love cheese chips (and so do my kids!) There are a couple of ways to make them. Some folks bake them and some fry them. Basically, you just cook a wad of cheese till the fat comes out of it and you are left with a crunchy chip. Very yummy. My fav is parmesan

I've baked provolone slices on a small paper plate in the microwave oven, about a minute or so, and then let it crisp up. They are divine! Great with chili in lieu of crackers.
