I couldn't find "rice protein powder" and the bread I'm about to make is calling for that. Can I substitute whey protein powder for it instead? The recipe is Dana Carpenter's White Bread and requires 1/3 cup.
Thank you!!

I've never personally even SEEN rice protein powder.
However, in her cookbook (500 Low-Carb Recipes) Ms. Carpender says in her chapter on ingredients re: "rice protein powder: "I see no reason not to experiment with other unflavored protein powders, if you like."

Thanks, Maggie. I figured it might be a while before a reply comes, so I read that part of her book, too. She also states that "rice" and "whey (unflavored)" were good for non-sweetened types of food, which is what I needed. So I just used more of the whey.
The yeast didn't work so it ended up in the trash anyway.......![]()
